Hello again lovelies!

As promised in the last posts - it is time! Time to introduce you to my favourite boy.

"Technically, I did growl at you. But affectionately."

And yes, I'm biased. Yes, I've been swooning behind the scenes, tinkering with and closely watching Nara create him visually based on my input and crafted lore. And yes...despite what his appearance might evoke, he really does blush when you tease him. Fiercely. Especially if you call him 'pretty'. (Honestly one of his best quirks.)

"Why do you smell so good? This is clearly a targeted, scent-based manipulation."

Let me officially welcome you into the world of Caleb ar Lugh - first of his name and wearer of oddly wide opened shirts with a concerning amount of chest hair (tbf he's a werewolf guys). But even more than that he is a creature of contradictions. A protector who doesn't quite know how to be held and a warrior who never falters, yet flinches at affection he didn't expect. If you ever wondered what it's like to fall in love with someone who could (and definitely would) crush your enemies and forget how to make eye contact after brushing your hand...this is for you. 

"I wasn't staring. I was just~...watching. Looking out for you. In case you tripped. Again."

As we already established, Caleb is one of two love interests you can choose in Tales from Beyond, a were wolf to be precise, and his romance arc will explore themes of tradition, duty, trust, restraint and letting go of expectations and fears - as well as how all these areas intersect with control. Control over himself, others and the world. "I like the way your voice changes when you're alone with me." (Below you see our first version of him - close enough, but missing all the furry glory.)

But Caleb is not just all longing stares and growly tension (and long appendages). His path dives into the lore of the Lykos - his species- and their broken alliances, moonbound instincts and the legacy of his family and pack that will evoke an interesting dynamic with our MC.

"Whatever hunts you now, will have to get through me first." 

Researching and writing the lore for his species has been a joy so far and I wish I could share much more already, BUT I'M PATIENT! I was heavily inspired by the legend of 'La Loba', a mexican myth that describes the wild woman (archetype) gathering wolf bones in the desert to sing them back to live. But also multitude of german myths, my own culture, that have a large amount of stories about werewolves.

"Belief is bones. Ritual is breath. But loyalty...is what we bleed."

To not give away too much about him just yet, I will leave you with this introduction for now and return once his personal questline has taken on a more defined state. Next time we will dive into Killian, which you will hopefully enjoy as well.
