The Twisting Host is a nascent tabletop game cooperative with the aim of getting game developers the payment and recognition that their hard work and wonderful games deserve. The Bundle Initiative we're starting is a profit sharing program to help achieve those goals. Each Twisting Host bundle will contain some of the very best indie RPGs, story games, game tech, and other related content you can find anywhere on the internet.
The idea is pretty simple, but here's how it works: Pay one small price and you get a ton of amazing games and related content from some of the best indie devs out there! Then each of us involved in the bundle gets an even share of the profits. You get games and goodies, we get paid for our work, everybody wins. :D
We'll be running one of these bundles every month for a while, then eventually shifting into a bi-monthly bundle schedule. One of the rules for the Twisting Host's Bundle Initiative is no repeats (we might do some "throwback" bundles later for people who missed out on a game the first time), so that means you're guaranteed to get something different in every bundle you buy from us!
This bundle has a bunch of great offerings, some of which are inspired by art (like Stories to Astonish the World and Hieronymous), others of which are heroic fantasy romps (like Aether and Superfantasy). The future is dark and terrible here-- err bright and wonderful here with the Twisting Host. Please enjoy our games and look forward to more great stuff from us in the coming months.
Aether: A Heroic Fantasy RPG - Aether is a card based Fantasy TTRPG focused on giving you a cinematic, character-centric story structure and helps you choose how much depth your character's abilities have and how they interact with the world around them.
Stories to Astonish the World - Stories to Astonish the World is a point-crawl TTRPG drawing inspiration from Chinese landscape painting and literary compilations of weird supernatural events that happen to hapless travelers.
On the Path - Inspired by The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski, On The Path is a hack of Honey Heist by Grant Howitt, where players take on the roles of Monster Slayers investigating a mystery after receiving a strange letter.
Hieronymous - In Hieronymous, you play a group of refugees fleeing an astral terror known only as the Follower. As it pursues you, you rip your way through reality into strange worldscapes inspired by the paintings of the medieval artist Hieronymous Bosch, the Follower only a few steps behind. What will happen when it catches up to you? What strange worlds will it tear apart in its pursuit? Is there a way home?
Smithy of Sacrilege - At last your two day hike is over. What you do next might not make the history books, but it'll win you bed and board the next few times you tell the tale over a mug of ale. Let's begin.
