Woah, I had this game downloaded for a long time but today I finally decided to play it. Confused mostly while playing but so interested in the story I had to continue, art is so beautiful and the random sounds and scary atmosphere made me feel the game . I got the bad ending first and right after got the good one. Absolutely amazing I must say. One of the best games I ever played, maybe even the best one yet!!
Wow, this game was a straight banger too and I'm really happy I got the good end on my first run. lovely message, lovely designs, lovely everything <3 eagerly awaiting a piggyback scene though.....
This game found me at the perfect time in my life, as I've gotten in a situation VERY similar to Winnie and Augustine's with an old friend of mine recently. I won't go into detail because it'd spoil the game, but if it wasn't for this game making me realize I was acting EXACTLY like Augustine was, and going down that exact train of thought, I can't say I'd be friends with them anymore- and god knows how much else I would've lost from losing a friend like that. I owe this game a lot, and I can't recommend it enough. Also, I love Winnie and Augustine's designs.
I have a mac and like they said, it wont save so I cant complete without do it all over again from beginning but I will try this at my partner's place who have a pc and give it a go. so far I like the game
i know this comment is kinda old but how did you manage to get through the chase part i've been doing it for a long time and i can't get to the end aaaaaaa
when loading into the save that starts the chase, be sure not to press any buttons until you can see your characters. Hold shift to run (obviously) and just memorize the obstacles. If you get lucky, the monster may get stuck on them when it's trying to path to you, giving you more time to run away.
Thank you for making this game. It made me realize something that even myself cannot think about it all this time. Eventually, this game will be going to become something important to me and a tradition to look forward to in every cycle of living, I guess? <3

Oh Wow. I just love this game so much! I love the mishmash of different styles of games, visual novel, rpgmaker. The character expressions and lines were FABULOUS and so so well done! Winnie is so baby I love him.
I loved this literally so much. My sibling sent me some screenshots from a playthrough before directing me to a download page so I could go in blind. This game absolutely did not disappoint and I came away with two new sons who I care about greatly. If there was one thing that sort of bugged me about it, it was how you could only use one tiny sliver of the stairs. However, with this being made in only 25 days and that being my only issue with it, I think it's phenomenal. Absolutely impressed and will probably be downloading your other available games and games you create in the future.
I'm a little late, but I loved this so so much!! The visual style was pulled off SO well, this is one of the most visually stunning RPGmaker projects I've ever seen ESPECIALLY for a month-long jam!! Genuinely such an inspiration :D
This game was absolutely beautiful, and I had an amazing time playing it. The artwork and visuals were absolutely gorgeous, and the story was fantastic. I also loved the friendship between Winnie and Augustine. We don't get enough stories about genuine male friendships, so I really enjoyed seeing one here. I would definitely recommend giving this game a try. It is amazing. 😁

I absolutely adored this game, and it actually hit so close to home for me, Auggie being so very relatable in many aspects (without getting too corny here lol). The visuals are stunning as always (your style never disappoints wow), and I think you paced this incredibly well for such a short game???
I do want to ask out of curiosity: have you perhaps read A Separate Peace by John Knowles? TLDR; Gene feels Finny is surpassing him in everything, but still forcing himself to believe they're the 'best of friends' and there are no issues, until he intentionally (but indirectly) handicaps Finny for life. It's also a coming-of-age story about projecting your insecurities on your closest friend who excels at everything because they admire you and denying your own responsibility/feelings, and I could see some similarities so just wondering :0

This is an incredible game and is currently my favorite RPG game of all time. I seriously love every aspect of this. The characters, the story, the stunning artwork, it's all created a game like no other. Your ability to draw dark scenes sets the dark tone of the game. The expressions of your characters are strong, and it made me empathize with them. If you ever release an art book for Cold Front, I'd love to buy it!
I was so invested in Augustine's story as I related to his deep insecurities a lot. It really felt like I was being gaslit by Winnie. I could feel the betrayal and resentment Augustine felt for Winnie, so I found myself always choosing to treat Winnie terribly. I think you can guess which ending I got first. I was happy when Winnie died, but after I got the second ending, I was even happier that he lived. I'm happy for Augustine. The honest conversation they had made me tear up. Seeing Winnie explain things from his perspective really showed how delusional Augustine's insecurities made him. I'm so glad they were able to work it out and have a happy ending. Ahhh god, I just love it so much. It's so rare to see stories of friendship, so this was just so refreshing to play. Thank you for creating this. I'll be thinking about it for a long time.
One of my favorite games I've found on itch! Your artwork is amazing (I especially love Aug's character design), the story was super sweet, the relationship between Winnie and Aug was heartfelt, and the horror elements were used really effectively. My only critique is that some of the plot felt a bit rushed or over-explained through exposition, but that's understandable seeing that this was made for a quick game jam. Awesome job <3

The game has a bit of a lagging problem. The first chase scene is running too slowly to get through.
Other than that, GREAT story and awesome game. I somehow managed to get through the lag.
