Could you implement some sort of scrolling for the textbox? it ran fine (and I quite enjoyed it!) on my phone, but the screen resolution had the u.i  a bit smooshed together, so a couple of the longer blocks of dialogue were cut off at the bottom by the list of reply choices.

It has a scrollbar that should appear when the text overflows the box, but we didn't have time to make a mobile-friendly build, my apologies for that. We'll definitely make sure the UI works at all sizes in the final release!

I absolutely loved the art, I couldn't get enough of it. I'm very afraid of using Unity, tried and failed hard, but you made it look seamless. The story was very good too. The sound effects were great as well, it helped me get into the Halloween spirit. Awesome job!

Love the atmosphere, the art style goes really well with the general tone and the writing.
Appreciate the setting not being a generic fantasy land too, the historical touches really help ground the experience (and create dread and anticipation for the possibly supernatural Wolf.).
It is also polished and relatively self contained with a strong hook at the end.
Great chapter 1, will be looking forward to more of this!

Very, very nice. I really liked the ambience set by both image and sound. The GUI is delightful. I do feel kinda disappointed that we only got a chapter1. Looking forwards to the whole thing!

This absolutely brought me back all the best kinds of nostalgia from my childhood when this sort of thing only existed in the form of choose-your-own-adventure books (at least as far as I knew when I was a kid with no laptop, haha.) Only this is even better because the sheer number of choices is a delight :3 As are the drawings that accompany the pages and the atmospheric music too.

I really enjoyed how many different things I could do. From the bigger choices to the smaller ones. And I especially loved being able to describe myself not just by picking a gender for reference, but also things about the character's past and how the people around them perceive them because of that.

I've only played the one time so far, and while I made sure to do a lot of digging around and interacting, I certainly haven't exhausted all the choices that are available. I generally chose to be as polite as possible. I don't want to spoil too much, but I started out making the sorts of choices I would make myself, such as attempting not to bother people with my problems. I was a little concerned that may wind up with my demise, haha. So I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered I was able to make those decisions and continue playing rather than being punished for being timid.

I definitely found myself wanting more once I reached the end, so I hope that development goes smoothly! :3 I'll be back for more in the future. I have a feeling that I may be wishing for the option of cheating like I used to with those books by putting my thumb on the choice page in case I make a decision that leads to my death because everything built up to be rather foreboding :D

Oh, gosh!! This was such a delight! And by delight, I mean I was basically half on the edge of my chair the whole time so sure I was going to make some kind of horrible wrong decision, but I digress LOL

I had a ton of fun playing this! Perhaps because I have more experience in the visual novel side of things than the IF side of things, I was fascinated at just HOW many different choices there were at all times and how many different things you could do—this was quite new for me! So I really enjoyed getting to hunt and peck around and see all the different things I could do and the people I could interact with. There was a very real sense of... I don't know... impeding doom??? About the whole thing. Like, even from the very beginning in the forest worrying that every decision I made was going to end up in my untimely death, to then when I was exploring the village and having strange interactions with people and the time kept getting later and later and the sun starting to set. It was wonderfully immersive and almost surreal, and it kept me on edge the whole time I was playing.

I'm the type of person who when I play a game is absolutely incapable of being mean or rude to people, so I felt like I was making mostly neutral or positive attempts at talking and interacting with the various people (though now I'm also curious how it would have turned out had I not been so kind LOL). I really enjoyed the night at the inn with Mila. It felt incredibly homey to me—a little respite in the midst of all the strange unnerving-ness happening outside. I also loved having the chance to make choices in such a way as to describe my own past and self—for instance, how people perceive me and who I was traveling with, etc.

The drawings throughout were so well done and absolutely lovely. Coupled with the haunting music always there in the background, they really helped pull you even more into the story and adding to the eerie tone of the experience. And absolutely beautiful and descriptive writing! Everything just fit together so well to create a haunting experience that grew more and more nerve-rattling as it went on. I'm really intrigued at what will happen next after that ending GOD!!! akdjfalsdkf

This was fun! Loving the sound effects as you approach things and places. I'm also enjoying the progress since the state for the Inkjam, and I'm looking forward to the next bit!

Can I ask what tools you used within Unity to make this? I've only really got Ink experience and I'd like to expand my skillset.

I wrote my own script to interface Unity with Ink. Happy to share it if you like!

I'm working on packing up a version of the script without the stuff that's idiosyncratic to this project (like setting the text boxes to be the exact height of that particular game window). When I'm done, I'll share it.

I'm in love. That's one of my favorite types of games. Every piece is superb, the soundtrack/SFX, the art, the GUI, and the story are pretty interesting, and clear ,I wanted more chapters. I'm waiting for the next chapters. Amazing work!

Albeit the game being in it's early stages it still sets up a really good atmosphere and a foundation for what's to come. The writing is well done. Really excited to see how the art and music/sound shape up with the final release.
