This is a fun li'l time sink! I've recommended it to a few of my friends. It was a delight to stream and chat over ♥ Kraft's character design is that perfect balance of simple and iconic. If ever you add controller support, I'll be the first to check it out :D
There's another way to get to flower a bit faster!
Stone + water = sand
Sand + water = clay
Wood + stone = dirt
Dirt + clay = planter
Planter + water = flower
Uses 2 stone, 3 water, 1 wood (6 elements total) . The terrarium route uses 2 stone, 2 water, 1 fire, 1 air, 1 wood (7 elements total). Interesting though that the terrarium route uses a more even spread!
I know this is a late reply, and that this may have been added in later too, but now stone + air = sand too, so that means the terrarium path takes 1 extra fire which is no longer a more even spread.
Click on the atelier, choose a recipe, tweak all the sliders, design an art for your weapon, go in the arena and fight monsters, come back and refine your weapon. and you will eventually get the perfect setting. Good luck!
easy flower recipe is rock + air= sand, sand + fire = glass, glass + fire = bottle, rock + log= dirt, dirt + bottle = terrarium, terrarium + water= flower
i hate how complex it is but with the material box item thing in the shop you can get it before you even do a stage, so eventually it can become muscle memory
looking back at my old replies, what do you MEAN the flowers cant handle a crowd. If you were just talking about a single flower or the normal flower, yeah your probably right but like the fire lily is basically a nuke.

I believe Motor is actually an ordered, persistent multi weapon with 4 different melee weapons, one for each "engine state". The last melee weapon has a really long cooldown.
If you try to add a recipe that involves a custom iten in it, the game does not accept it, i dunno if its intentional or not, hope it get fixed in the new update!

I usually go for lightbulb and paper early on for damage reasons then get to the tempered sword level which gives, well, a tempered sword and use the items I earned along the way to make an ice spear and an etherallis.
use ice spear, fire lily, and any of the basic elements or gravel (as your movement item) and if you play well you should be able to beat it in under 5 minutes

Another way to make the Crucible is:
Electricity + Stone = Gravel (Do this twice)
Gravel + Water = Concrete (This step only once)
Gravel + Concrete = Crucible

True. Another good flower(s) are the Lilys, they are both EXTREMELY GOOD offensive. Flower is great defensive, but it can’t handle a crowd.

ohhh that makes sense. How do you make it so that the motor is just sitting on the characters back while it cycles through the other weapons?
I think I made the motor a slash weapon with a negative radius. I might need to make it possible to give items a negative radius...

My favourite combo is Cactus + Terrarium + Motor! Don't forget you can use the stars you've earned to buy equipment from the store as well.

i use tempered sword+ fire lily+ ice spear or fishing net
