Two Grit Games' Official Narrative Game Jam!

Narrative Game Jam: Beginner-friendly jam for creating games with a story, proudly sponsored by Two Grit Games!

In this game jam you will have a week to create a prototype game that has some kind of story behind it. Once the submission is closed, a team of judges will vote and award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

The story does not need to be fully developed or detailed. The goal is to practice creating and developing a narrative specifically for games.

Examples could include

  • Creating a simple visual novel about a girl and her cat.
  • Making a 2D side-scrolling story about a knight and his long-lost cousin Mark.
  • Designing a puzzle game where two robots must work together to escape a factory.
  • Building a top-down adventure about a gardener trying to save their village from a mysterious drought.
  • Creating a simple card game where rival mages battle for control of an ancient library.

We encourage you to develop your story more than just surface level to score higher in the voting criteria!
