Welcome to Trans Joy Jam 2026, a game jam about creating and shaping a brighter future. Without a vision for a better future, we can't readily create one, and that's what this jam is about. This is the 2nd iteration of the jam, with the 2025 original run being found here.
Entries must:
- include at least one transgender or gender-queer character
- have at least one positive ending - stories focusing on the harsh realities of the world are accepted, but we want at least one outcome where the characters can live happily or have an optimistic future ahead of them
- have at least 2 screenshots on their itchio page
What's allowed?
- any type of game or work of fiction you can submit to itchio!
- finished entries and demos, but we prefer finished games (entries that are finished during the jam) - here are some resources on cutting down scope:
- games & works previously started on, but only if they're finished during the time limit of the jam (submitting existing demos or fully finished works isn't allowed)
What's not allowed?
- entries that were already finished before the jam started
- entries made in bad faith and don't follow the above criteria
- entries made with AI generations
