Welcome to the fourth Star Haven Jam. This is a competition to make the best mod of any Paper Mario series game you can. You have 8 weeks.


This year, the theme is:

HOLIDAY

The mod does not need to be big: focus on quality over quantity. Make something that reflects what "Holiday" means to you. You could add a custom enemy, an awesome boss, a few new maps, or even an epic twist on standard gameplay. Anyone can participate, and it's fine to work in groups! If you're looking for inspiration, check out the previous jam's results, or check out the Paper Mario Christmas Special.

Rules

  • Submission must be a mod/romhack of any Paper Mario series game.
  • Submission must be source available..
  • Submission must respect the IP, e.g. no swearing, no NSFW.
  • Teams of any size are allowed.
  • Using existing work is allowed, within reason.

Judging

Judging is open to the public with a rating queue of 3.
Entries are ranked using an average of the following criteria:

  • Wow! Factor
  • Gameplay
  • Aesthetics
  • Theme adherence
  • Polish
