Spend a weekend making a game using Karl2D and Odin!
What?
- Karl2D: A library for creating 2D video games that is beginner friendly and easy to modify.
- Odin: An efficient programming language that focuses on the Joy of Programming.
- Combined: Have fun while making a game!
When?
- Start: May 1 20:00 CEST
- End: May 3 20:00 CEST
How?
Rules
- The game must use Karl2D in a substantial way.
- No vibe coding: You must understand and feel ownership of the code.
- Submit before the end!
Voting
- When the jam ends, then you can play the other games and vote!
- Voting ends on May 10 20:00 CEST (1 week after the jam ends). I will reveal the winner on a live stream on my YouTube channel.
- Only the submitters can vote. If you are multiple people on a team, then use the submitter as the "vote of the team".
- To increase your chances of getting voted on, make sure to upload a web build of your game.
Voting criteria:
- Enjoyment: How fun, interesting, innovative and well designed was the game?
- Graphics: Did it look nice?
- Audio & music: Did it sound nice?
Award
The winner gets:
- A spot on the front page of the Karl2D website: https://karl2d.com/, with links to their game and social media accounts.
- One hour private video/audio call where we discuss anything gamedev related: Programming, marketing, shipping, production, graphics, sound, etc.
The top 10 games will be featured in a "Karl2D Jam Showreel" video on YouTube.
