Concept Art  Challenge

To help you bridge the gap between your college course and university we’re inviting you to take part in a brand new competition aimed at college students and applicants. You’ll be tasked with creating your own designs, concepts, art assets, animations or visual effects towards solving a brief. Students who submit will have a chance to win some fantastic prizes.

There are a variety of briefs available, including:

• Animation
• Games Art
• Concept Art for Games and Film
• CGI and Visual Effects

Each of the briefs are designed to be a good indication of the sort of work you’ll be doing on the course. The technology required to complete the challenge is freely available online and we’ll also be providing some helpful links to videos if you’ve never used the software before.

To help you along the way we’ll be looking to organise some virtual workshops which you can take part in. Hopefully give you a few ideas that you take away and apply to your own project.

Prizes will be award to 1^st , 2^nd and 3^rd place.  All prize winners and honourable mentions will recieve a certificate. 

CONCEPT ART FOR GAMES AND FILM

Of Mice and Men

Create a series of characters for a game called "Of Mice and Men".  

This game is an action adventure title where all the characters are rodents living in a lush, dreamy style of forest world. The three characters are: the player character called Seregil who is a mouse; her young apprentice Alec; and a necromancer gerbil called Mardus. 

You can do this digitally using Photoshop or similar, or you can use good old fashioned pencil/pen and paper!

To submit your work you'll need to create an account on here (itch.io) first

You should then be able to go into your profile and create a project containing screenshots/videos/links of your work.

You can then submit this newly created project to this "Jam"
