ABOUT

This game jam is a 48-hour event where teams of students get together and develop a game within the given time period! The jam kicks off on October 14th at 3:00 PM with the theme announcement over Discord, and all submissions are due on October 16th at 3:00 PM (that's a total of 48 hours to work on your game). This event is an amazing opportunity to build your experience in game design and development!

REGISTRATION

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT VIA THE GOOGLE FORMS LINK. This is how we will keep track of all the participants in the event, as well as where you will get a quick overview of the game jam!

You MUST be at least 17 years old and either attend an accredited U.S. university/college OR be a high school senior. There is NO fee to enter this event (meaning this event is 100% free!)

itch.io: Only one member from each team needs to submit the final game to itch.io.


RULES

1.) Participants must be 17 or older, and they must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. university/college OR be a senior in high school.

2.) Participants may work in teams of no larger than 6 people (recommended: 4-5), or they can work solo.

3.) All games must adhere to the game jam theme. If not, it will not qualify for judging or receive any prizes.

4.) Games may have any rating (PG, M, R, etc., though PG-13 is preferred). Games that contain mature/NSFW content or content that may be disturbing to others (suicide, sexual harassment, etc.) MUST contain content warnings. Your game must also abide by itch.io's Terms of Service (Link: https://itch.io/docs/legal/terms), especially the third section.

5.) Teams may NOT use/submit old or current projects. Only projects made during the game jam period will be accepted. Old or current assets are allowed, but minimal usage is recommended.

6.) Plagiarism is STRICTLY prohibited. DO NOT use anything else unless it's open-source or your own assets. You may not use third-party trademarks (logos, names) or copyrighted materials (music, images, video, recognizable people). When in doubt, credit who/where you found your assets/code from. If teams are caught copying other team's games/assets OR stealing games/assets online, you will be banned from the server/game jam and reported accordingly.
