🔥 Bundle Builder Jam 2025

“Make it free. Prove it’s fun. Then make it paid.”

Welcome to the Bundle Builder Jam — a game jam built for devs who don’t just want to make fun games,

but also want to make money 💸

Your goal:

Create a short, complete game that’s fun enough to sell, and launch it for free during the jam.

After judging ends, you’ll set it to paid and join the official Bundle. Here:

a curated indie bundle packed with awesome, short, and sellable games.

🕐

Timeline

  • Dev period: 7 days
  • Submissions: Free games only
  • Judging: Based on gameplay, presentation, and potential to sell
  • Post-jam phase: Devs set their games to paid ($1–$5 range recommended)
  • Bundle launch: The best-rated games are invited to the official paid bundle 💼

🧩

Rules

  1. Your game must be free during the jam for rating and judging.
  2. It must be original, created for this jam (reuse small assets if needed).
  3. It must be uploadable on itch.io (Windows, Web, or Linux).
  4. After judging, you’ll make it paid ($1+ minimum) if invited to the bundle.
  5. Solo or team entries are fine.
  6. No NSFW, hateful, or stolen content.

🧠

Judging Criteria

  • 🎮 Gameplay: Is it actually fun to play?
  • 💎 Presentation: Clean visuals, good page design, solid polish.
  • 💰 Sell Potential: Would you pay for it?
  • 🔥 Overall Quality: That “I’d buy this” feeling.

💼

Bundle Phase (Post-Jam)

After judging ends, top-rated entries will be invited to join the Bundle Builder Collection —

a paid indie bundle curated by the jam host.

The bundle will:

  • Include only the best polished entries.
  • Split profits fairly between participants.
  • Be promoted across Discord, Itch, and social media.

🎯

Why Join?

  • Get exposure while your game is free.
  • Convert your free players into paying fans later.
  • Be featured in a paid bundle (real revenue + followers).
  • Build your dev portfolio and visibility.

💬

Optional Theme:

“Small Game, Big Potential.”

Interpret it however you want — gameplay, story, or vibe.

🧠

Tips for Success

  • Treat your game like it’s already for sale.
  • Make your itch.io page look like a Steam page — screenshots, trailer, good description.
  • After judging, price it smartly ($1–$5).
  • Stick around for the bundle phase — that’s where the real action happens.
