Welcome!

Bezi Jam 12 is here. Four days, $400+ in prizes, and a theme we think you are going to love. This jam has two challenges: build a game around the theme, and show us your best Bezi fan art.

Build your game with whatever engine and tools you like.

We run these jams to support game developers and to promote good development habits. We are committed to contributing to the game dev community when and where we can, and a jam is one of our favorite ways to do that. Whether this is your first jam or your fiftieth, you are welcome here.

Look again. It was never what you thought.

The Bezi Mega Jam is coming. Two weeks, five tracks, September 14. Here is what is up for grabs, with full details on the Mega Jam page.

About Bezi

A bit about who we are. We believe AI will never replace people. Bezi is a productivity tool, built to take the friction out of the work so you can spend more of your time on the creative decisions only you can make. It is made for game developers by game developers, by a team that has shipped games and knows where the hours really go.

In practice, Bezi is a development assistant that integrates directly into your game engine, indexing your project to provide context-aware help. Whether you are debugging, generating shaders, building editor tools, or prototyping mechanics, it works from your actual project structure and coding style rather than generic answers. You can download Bezi here, or visit our itch.io page.

Using Bezi is optional. We would love for you to try it and tell us how it fits your workflow, but it is not required to enter or to win.

Theme

REVEALED AT LAUNCH

July 24 at 12:00am PST

The theme stays sealed until the jam begins. We will drop a hint in our #community-announcements channel on Discord every Monday leading up to launch, with an early reveal the day before for community members.

Join our Discord

Join our Discord community to connect with fellow developers, find potential teammates, and share ideas throughout the jam. Weekly theme hints drop every Monday in #community-announcements. For questions about Bezi, please use #general-discussion.

Prizes

All winners receive cash prizes. The Community Choice track is decided by community voting, with the Best Devlog and Best Fan Art chosen by the Bezi team.

๐Ÿ† Track 1: Community Choice

Open to all participants. Winners determined by community voting. Places 1 through 3.

๐Ÿ† Community Choice (Community Voted)
๐Ÿฅ‡ 1st Place $150
๐Ÿฅˆ 2nd Place $100
๐Ÿฅ‰ 3rd Place $50

๐Ÿ“ Track 2: Best Devlog

Judged by the Bezi team. Open to all participants who post a devlog in #bezi-showcase on our Discord.

We frame this prize as a communication exercise. Knowing how to explain what you built and why you made the choices you made is a real skill, and it is one of the most valuable things you can show in a portfolio. A clear devlog tells a studio, a teammate, or a future collaborator how you think. That is what we are looking to reward here.

๐Ÿ“ Best Devlog (Bezi Team Judged)
๐Ÿ… Winner $50

Focus on your game first. The devlog is meant to be written during the voting period after the jam ends, not during the four days you are building. Finish your game, then tell the story of how you made it.

Post your devlog in #bezi-showcase on our Discord with the Bezi Jam tag. Tell us about your game, how you built it, and the thinking behind your decisions. Screenshots, GIFs, and video help bring it to life.

๐Ÿ“‹ Devlog Format
Game Name and a one-liner describing your game in one sentence
Play It with a link to your submission page
Screenshots / Video showing gameplay
About the Game sharing what players do and what makes it interesting
Built With listing your engine, tools, plugins, or any notable tech
How You Made It covering the decisions behind your design and why you made them, the problems you ran into, and how you solved them. If you used Bezi, tell us what role it played and any tips you discovered along the way

๐ŸŽจ Track 3: Fan Art

Judged by the Bezi team. This is a standalone competition, separate from the game jam. Show us your best Bezi-related fan art.

REVEALED AT LAUNCH

The fan art theme is revealed when the jam begins, alongside the game theme. There are no weekly hints for this one, so check back at launch.
