Welcome

This is not a regular jam.

Most game jams award cash prizes and call it a day. The Bezi Mega Jam is built around a different idea: the prizes you win should actually help your career. We are awarding GDC passes, iPads, Bezi Ultimate subscriptions, and cash, because game developers deserve access to the events and tools that help them grow. You can see the full prize breakdown below.

Build your game in any engine, shaped around a theme that will be revealed at the start of the jam. Teams that use Bezi as part of their workflow unlock an additional prize track with even more to win.

The theme will be announced on September 14 at 12:00am PST. Until then, join our Discord for monthly theme hints on the 1st of each month leading up to the jam, plus an early reveal the day before for community members.

About Bezi

Bezi is a development assistant that integrates directly into your game engine, intelligently indexing your entire project to provide context-aware assistance. Whether you are debugging complex issues, generating custom shaders, creating editor tools, or prototyping new mechanics, Bezi understands your specific project structure and coding style to deliver targeted solutions that go far beyond what traditional IDEs can offer. You can download and use Bezi here, or visit our itch.io page.

Using Bezi is optional, but it unlocks more prizes. Teams that use Bezi during the jam and submit a devlog are eligible for the Bezi Challenge, where the Bezi team picks a winner from the top 20 community voted entries. This is on top of everything else you are already eligible for.

Prizes

We designed these prizes to open doors. Whether it is your first time at GDC, a creative tool you could benefit from, or cash to invest back into your work, every prize track is built to support your growth as a game developer.

Either way, you are getting access to GDC.

Devlog

Focus on your game first. The devlog is meant to be written during the one-week voting period after the jam ends, not during the two weeks you are building. Finish your game, then tell the story of how you made it.
