Welcome to another tools jam for the Amiga. The Amiga celebrates it's 40th year in this universe in the Summer of 2025. I havent spotted anyone wishing to make a tools compo this year, so I decided to make my own. So this is not and Official Amiga 40 jam in that sense, as I am not affiliated with Commodore™ Inc, Amiga 40 in California, Amiga 40 in Germany, or Amiga 40 in the UK. So please dont hate me. If there is an official Amiga 40 tools jam, I will rename mine to something else.
My name is lifeschool, and I'm a co-Global Admin of Lemon Amiga.com. Last year, the incredible Zooperdan ran the Amiga Tools compo, and there were lots of submissions. So I'm hoping for the same.
The jam is now open, and will close October 25th, with voting ending on November 15th 2025.

Submissions must be entered by October 11th 2025. After that, there will be a period where submission entries are be judged by the public, with votes being hidden and shown after the closing date for voting. This makes sure there is no delay to hand out the prizes after the compo is closed.
Categories for the compo are up to the submitter to decide, and these do not affect the prizes. Categories can be anything as long as it is NOT a Game, a Graphics demo, or Music demo, a Slideshow etc. Other examples which are not acceptable entries are: Icon packs, Workbench wallpapers, Artwork etc, as these are not tools.
Some good examples of Categories include: a Tool, Utility, Paint, Audio, Multimedia, App, Command, Commodity, Font, Library, Resource, Guide, AmigaGuide, Productivity, Workbench, Hack, Screensaver, Device Driver, Script, Colour Util, Screen/Sound Ripper, etc.
You may only submit something that was made during 2025, and before the closing date for submissions.
You must state which category your entry belongs to, using 1 to 5 words.
You may submit more than one entry to the jam, but please dont submit separate revisions of the same tool as new entries.
Tools must work on a real/emulated Classic Amiga, e.g. Workbench 1.0-1.3, 2.0-2.1, 3.0-3.9, or Cloanto/AROS. No OS4.
You may use any programming language and/or compiler to make your entry.
You must include information about system requirements, bugs, WIPs, ToDOs etc.
Documentation on how to install and/or use must be included.
Topics such as soft and legal drug use, sexual innuendo, and faiths and religious tools ARE allowed.
You may NOT submit anything that is malicious or harmful in content. For example, hard drug use, pornography, self harm, rape, or questionable psychological or religious manipulation tools (such as Racism, Provocation Speech, Extremism, Scientology, etc).
You many NOT submit comments or tools which seem impolite, rude, or in bad taste. However, it is ok to submit tools which seem to go against a politically correct stance, if those tools are meant as a joke.
