(+1)

Yes, you have to hide

i think i found a glitch

where am i supposed to hide im confused

(+2)

Fantastic game!!! Very spooky got pretty much all the endings except F since I didn't keep my tongue:( what was the difference if you did manage to keep it?

Thank you! : )
If you keep your tongue, Alesa has some different lines of dialog (e. g., when confronting Mr. Bob at the end), but other than that, there's not much of a difference. Canon ending is Alesa keeping her tongue though

wow cool

(+1)

This was so cool! I loved the different endings AND key choices. The villain (and everybody lol) was so messed up and freaky! Really enjoyed this AND HELLA DISTURBED😂 ! The puzzle with the weather tiles was so cool XD and the music so creepy and catchy. Can't wait to play A House for Alesa 2 now!! Alesa been through a lot lol

Thank you so much! : D Be warned though: while this was supposed to be pure horror, A House for Alesa 2 is more of a dark comedy with even more bizarre situations and excess of weirdness hahahah

(+1)

Hello Alex,

Sorry for bothering but can you please check your email.

(1 edit) (+1)

Done! You guys are amazing! Amazing work! I'll let you know when I update the game with your translation

(+1)

Why can't the game. its said that the file was damage and when i tried to play it here it said failed to initialize graphic

Are you playing the browser version? If that's the case and there's a problem with your internet connection, you might get errors

(1 edit) (+1)

When i clicked the file it said that the file was from an unknown format or damage

I've tested the files and they work fine for me. It might be an issue related to your computer or your internet connection. Also, if you have windows, make sure you didn't download the Mac version

ok thanks

I was going to play a House for Alesa 2, but thought I should play this first. I'm glad I did! How else could I have achieved such a "bright" ending! Heheh. Onto number 2 now, this was great, thanks for sharing!

Thank you! :D Be warned that the second one is waaaay less serious hahahaha, but in terms of graphics, story and gameplay, I believe its a vast improvement over the first one

(+1)

OMG what an awsome game! We've really enjoy playing it! The characters are great! So scary! An amazing story! Take a look at our gameplay edit.

Wooow thank you so much! :D I've finished watching both your gameplays and they were amazing! You're a great duo! It's really fun to watch you!

A House for Alesa 3 is currently in the works hahaha

Thank you so much for watching it! ♥

That's great, we'll be wating a House for Alesa 3 :D Keep us posted!

(+1)

I literally made this account to ask if Mr. Bob is lookin’ for another partner if he somehow comes back for the third game.... because listen hear me out-

(1 edit) (+1)

If there's a 3rd game and Mr. Bob comes back, he'll probably have a new wife. And I don't think the mother would be happy to know that Mr. Bob wanted to marry Alesa (or maybe he made up that so Alesa wouldn't hurt him)

(+2)

HI, will there be a House for alesa 3 ?? i loved this game and i have watched kubzscouts on youtube play it and i thought it is a very unique game. I like how theres also some funny humor added in the game. keep up the good work !

(1 edit) (+1)

Thank you so much! : D

I do have plans for A House for Alesa 3, but I'm not sure when.I would like to make the 3rd game within this year, although at the moment I need to take a rest from the series, since I worked too fast on the first two games and it was exhausting.
There will also be games within the Alesa universe (I plan to release a spin off about a relative of Alesa, and a first person survival game featuring all the characters)

partial nudity? already a great game

Hahahaha, some people were really offended by it

why would people be offended by that?

(1 edit) (+1)

I guess pixel bodies can be offensive for some people

(-1)

theyre weird they should be thankful

(+2)

Nah, it's okay. I respect their opinion. I understand these games can be offensive to some people and they probably think ill of me, but all they have to do is ignore the Alesa games and go play something else

The garden puzzle isn't working even tho I'm sure I've done it right?

It's working, it's just that it's a big confusing hahaha. I'd suggest to watch a playthrough to see how it's solved, as there are certain specific steps you have to take (and some tiles you need to avoid)

(+1)

BRO I THOUGHT GRETA AND I WERE HOMIES BUT THEN SHE KILLED ME

(+2)

SHE DID IT AGAIN

Everything's explained (and fixed) in the sequel!

(+1)

Hello! I played A House for Alesa 2, cuz I wanted to be one of the first people to record it and I didn't have time to record part 1 although I played it already off camera. I'm enjoying the game so far it's super fun and I'm excited about the more choices and omance part. I already tied to have romance with the police officer, but it didn't go well lol. This game is so amazing, one of the best horror games i've ever played! You did a great job especialy with animations and sound track.<3

I watched this vtuber stream playing your game here, it's the second game she plays in the stream:

I really enjoyed the art style and the story went place. Had a problem with the garden/maze puzzle where it didn't activate it for some reason. I cannot get over the fact that there was jiggle physics XD.

(+1)

The jiggle physics are absolutely necessary! They are the soul of the series! And 99% of the budget was spent on that

(+2)

Awesome game, but it would be helpful to have a guide!

This game was amazing! I loved the story and art and I can't wait for any upcoming projects.

(+1)

Thank you so much!

The sequel is almost here and it will be ten times better than the first game!

This game was so good! I like ending D, it was my personal favorite! I also liked the art style and small puzzles and just the whole game in general!! =DD

Thank you so much! : D
If you liked ending D, then you'll be happy to know that Greta and Alesa will finally find happiness together in the upcoming sequel!

(+1)

Yay thats so cool! =D ill be sure to play it when it comes out ^^!

awesome game here’s my video

Thanks for playing! Great video!

Ur welcome

I watched a youtuber play this and had to play it myself, wonderful game !!!! cant wait for the sequel

Thank you! :D

Your welcome, thank YOU for making such an amazing game !!! :D

Really enjoyed playing this! lots of scary moments and really good pixel art that was super creepy! I just saw the announcement for a sequel cannot wait gonna be good if this is anything to go off of! Best of Luck! Also I missed getting my tongue cut out lol rip but seeing all the other endings and puzzles was pretty good!

Thank you so much! Great video! : D

The sequel is about 75% done, and it's absolutely insane, I can't wait to release it! I'll probably share a few preview screenshots soon. But everyone is back with new designs, new death animations, new creepy situations and many surprises

Hello Alex, is there any way where I can communicate with you? I wanna ask you something.

What is it about?

I want to translate the game into Turkish voluntarily if this is not a problem for you. Just for my CV.

I wouldn't have a problem with that, I welcome all translations. However, you should keep in mind the following:

1) you would do it for free? Or are you offering localization services?

2) this game is made in Rpg Maker Mz. The files are encrypted and I don't share the project with anyone. I would have to send you a text file with all the text in the game, then you would send it back to me, I'd put your translated text in the game and upload the Turkish translation crediting you as the translator

This is exactly what I am talking about. Here are your answers:

1) Yes. Completely for free. We will be translating your game into Turkish for free. We are 5 people.

2) Yes. We only want the text file nothing more. Additionally, if it is possible, we want to see our names in Credits. This is because some LPS companies want to check if our CV and the game's Credits sections are consistent.

Also, we would kindly ask how many words are there in the game? This will be decide the time because we have another project we have to make.

We can discuss further details via e-mail: info@thetaloc.com

Yes, I would obviously put your names in the credits, that's a given.

I don't really know the number of words because I have to write everything in a text file (directly from the game into the text file) , and it might take a while because I'm quite busy with the sequel and other non videogame related projects. But once I have news, I'll let you know

hello, I'm playing your game now, it's pretty simple English, but I would like to translate the game into Russian, I'll be glad if you send the text file to me too

Sure, I wouldn't have a problem with that! I can send it to you too once I have it ready. Just leave an email so I can send it to you

(+1)

This game was INCREDIBLE. I had so much fun with it! I can't wait to get the other three endings and I am so excited for the sequel! Greta for life!

Wow thank you so much! Loved your playthrough! : D
Greta is going to have a more prominent role in the sequel and she might finally find happiness!

(+1)

holy shit this game is so freaky but in a good way

Haha thank you!

(+1)

Was very fun to play! And knowing this is a homage to old 80's B-movies makes a lot of the "creative liberties" make more sense. I'd like to see what else you come up with in the future. :)

Thank yo so much! : D I have a lot of games planned for the future

Watched kubz scouts play! Enjoyed the maze-like aspect and overall diversity of scenery! SOUNDTRACK WAS DANK! Will look forward to more games by you! Boo on the other comments, loved the design of Alesa, wheres the NSFW booty patch hahaha! -Til Next Time

Thank you so much!I honestly never thought people would like the soundtrack since it was so strange hahaha.

If you loved Alesa's design, wait till you see her new design in the sequel hahaha

(4 edits)

this was such a great horror treat. I hope you expand on this game someday. Thank you.
(+1)

Thank you so much for playing and the video! Great playthrough, it was really fun to watch! : D
I'm already working on a sequel!

(+1)

I knew Greta's ending wouldn't be a happy one thanks to her other side, but I still wish there was one ending where you can escape with her and live... you just kinda gotta feel bad for the abused and lonely gal who's murderous against her own will.

Gratuitous fanservice aside, though, this game's pretty neat. I love the variety of options, especially being able to go the whole game without a tongue. Twins feel kinda underused though tbh, they basically just exist to be an instant kill option.

(+1)

Thank you so much! : D

Yes, I agree. The family was underused, especially the twins, but that'll be fixed in the upcoming sequel! And Greta might finally get a happy ending

A sequel?! :O Hype

If you revisit the concept, my recommendation would be to leave Mr. Bob dead. Run with the idea that Mr. Bob spends a lot of time out of the house (the Wife says as much), and therefore this wasn't his only family. There's probably nightmare houses like this scattered in multiple places, and I doubt all of them (or their inhabitants) were destroyed when Mr. Bob went down.

Also, unless I'm mishearing it, the 'good' ending has a knock at the door while Alesa is in the gratuitous shower (heh, the showering thing gets me chuckling). We fade to black before we see who's there. I'd like to think that it's not the usual "SHIA SURPRISE! HE'S NOT DEAD!" swerve, but somebody showing up (like the FBI) to let her know that she's not crazy and they do believe her. Let the girl have some closure, she's earned it.

Anyway, good game! You do solid work!

Hello!
Unfortunately, I can't leave Mr. Bob dead (at least for now) because he's the driving force behind the plot. But I really like your suggestion about other families!
Although I initially wanted the good ending to be open, I've determined that the knock at the door was actually Jack who was checking up on Alesa to see if everything was okay. And there's a reason why: I'm already working on a sequel, where Alesa will get real closure and I'll tie up loose ends.

Thank you so much for playing and your feedback!

This game is absolutely amazing! I love everything about it! From the sound effects to the story! Literally everything about it and I played it for like, 2 hours trying to get all the endings! Can't wait for more (possible) content from you!

Thank you so much! : D

I'll be releasing more content (soon, hopefully), I have a lot of games planned!

I am enjoying this game, I haven't gotten into more than ending a and b yet. I love it already. Can't wait to play more! MY main issue was not paying attention to where the save places were! haha. Great game.

I made a video if anyone would like to see:

(+1)

Thank you so much for playing and for your comments! Great video! : D

Watched somebody play through the entire game (Manlybadasshero), my first thought the next day when I remembered it was: "Oh yeah, that lewd game?" 💀

hahahhaha

Finally, a game for all the fellow guro enthusiasts. God bless you for making a game that contained half my f-list. Godspeed

You're welcome!

What I liked about this game: very unique art style for RPG Maker, a scary house full of murderous weirdos that recalls both the SNES Clock Tower game and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Was full of some good scares too with the eccentric cast of characters.

What I didn't like: I wish that the body horror didn't feel so male-gazey and fetishized though. Alesa is forcibly stripped with gratuitous body shots, multiple shower scenes, and much of the horror she is subjected to feels like a kink (e.g.: ero guro). I know it's just a fictional horror game, but also what kind of social worker would take a shower with someone she just rescued from a nightmare housing situation?

(+5)

Thanks for your feedback! Clock Tower and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre were some of my main inspirations!

I've already addressed the partial nudity issue in a comment/blog post, so feel free to read it.

Regarding the question of what kind of social worker takes a shower with a creepy deformed 22 year old tongueless woman she just met in a house full of horrors after experiencing nightmarish events at the hands of a demonic entity with reality warping powers and his freaky family....the answer is quite simple: the best social worker in the world!

Hell yeah the best social worker in the world indeed! Of course she had to take a shower after all that blood.

Okay, time to address the elephant in the room: partial nudity and sexualization.

I just wanted to represent how over the top the 80's horror films were because, as you can probably tell, this is supposed to be a homage to 80's B-horror films (and they certaintly had a good amount of unnecessary showers, lack of clothing, etc). But I also wanted to show that, despite being humilliated and how vulnerable she might have looked, Alesa was a very strong person determined to overcome all these obstacles and escape (that's why she gets a shotgun and kills her tormentors).

It seems some people feel offended by these issues. If that's the case, or if Alesa's sprites ruined your experience/made you feel uncomfortable, I apologize for that. Perhaps I should have added a SFW mode, a censorship option, a different costume option or something like that. I'll definitely keep that in mind for my future games. However, I also understand that everyone is entitled to their oppinion and their preferences and that it's impossible to please everyone. So I guess in the end it boils down to: if this is not (or you believe it might not be) your cup of tea, you shouldn't play it. And always pay attention to the content warnings. On the other hand, if this is the type of content you expected and you enjoyed it...that' great and I'm happy for that!

Also, this game wasn't supposed to be taken seriously. I had a lot of laughs while I made it (it's too damn cheesy and some events don't make sense at all. And Alesa's legs look like chicken legs)

This was...cool!

Thank you! Cool video, really funny!
