I had initially played 'Call of The Fire' but as that was a short Indie horror experience, I added 'The House In The Woods' and was very pleased that I did!
The atmosphere was great - immersing you in the woods. The soundscape was excellent, hearing your friend shout in the distance, the broken twigs and branches - and then when you finally get to the eponymous house in the woods...creepy stuff.
Kudos to you for recreating the vibe of Blair Witch - was there also a Void inspiration (only ask as the cult like members with triangles and the vortex at the end made me think about that film) and the mechanic with the shouting and compass really made this a chilling one to play.
Congrats on making a fine indie game - hope to see more like this in the future!
The Blair Witch Project is my all time favorite horror movie, so this game was definitely a treat for me! Loved everything about it! My only complaint was that it was too short. Would love if you revisited it in the future. Thanks for the great experience!
The House In The Woods, is by far, one of the creepiest games I ever played. Comparisons to The Blair Witch Project from 1999 will be inevitable, but it has enough lore to stand on it's own. Unfortunately, it will leave you wanting for more, and hopefully the devs understand the need for an expanded game on this universe.

This game really had me on the edge of my seat lol the atmosphere and the sound effects in the woods were nuts and so were the few little jump scares. Good job!!

Did a great job with setting atmosphere, I loved how vulnerable it feels being in the woods with the darkness and sound effects
The section in the house genuinely had me kinda scared, awesome short game!
The game was pretty good for how much time was spent into it and I would encourage you to try to make into a full game.
