I saw a novel in my early years that is very similar to your inspiration - the college with mythical creatures, which is located on the earth in another dimension. But this novel is about adventure and battle. The most powerful figure in the academy is an ancient dragon. She (this dragon) is also the dean and the guardian of the world against evil gods

One possible solution for the mertail issue could be something along the lines of other fantasy works, where the tail divides and becomes actual legs when dry. I seem to recall a movie using this trick when dealing with mermaids, but I can't for the life of me remember the title.
EDIT: I know that this would potentially mean two separate character models to deal with in regards to a mermaid character. Another option is to simply have her legs covered in scales with small wing type fins protruding from the sides of her thighs or calves, but I don't know how your modeling software would like this idea.
Oh I have no problem with multiple models for a character. There's one in the game that has 5 models, as she transforms in stages. Thing is, we're toying with the idea that she can't breathe air, which creates kind of an exotic boundary between her and the MC.
Well, the character in question isn't quite a mermaid, but instead a Naiad. I was considering an Undine, but I settled on Naiadbecause they're not nearly so common as merfolk.
LOL there's a story behind this! I'm not a Souls player, and I was sifting through the assets for an "abandoned cathedral" and this came up. So I was like "Cool! This is really detailed!" and put it in the game. Later on, someone pointed this out to me, and I said, "There's no way. It was in my mod pack." They booted up the game, went to the Undead Burg, and went into the cathedral, and sure enough. Shit. Lol.
I highly doubt FromSoftware is gonna come after me for mistakenly using their cathedral, and if they do, I'll just take this scene out of the game temporarily and reshoot it somewhere else. But good eye lol.
Rather than good observation, I just have over 400 hours in dark souls; it would have been hard to miss. But yeah, my elation at recognizing the cathedral was sky-high. Btw, dark souls is over a decade old, so FromSoftware prolly won't care :)
While I'm truly loving the game, your grasp of how actual Irish people act and talk is very nearly offensive. I'm Irish, born and raised, and 30 years old living the whole time in Ireland. NO ONE talks like that. We do use some phrases occasionally and kinda contextually. We don't talk in catchphrases. And no one except Americans ever say "Top of the morning to ya". You've written your Irish human character as a mix of Irish and Scottish, pretty much how most writers write dwarves. To make matters worse, it's super noticeable when you go to any other character to her. God help us all when/if you ever introduce actual dwarf characters because they're either going to the same but magnified, or talk like normal people, and I'm not actually sure what'd be worse.
I did weeks of research into Irish slang and speech patterns in an effort to get it as faithful as possible, and I think I inadvertently ended up mixing Irish, Northern Irish, and Scottish colloquialisms. If you're keen on joining the Discord, I could REALLY use a native Irish person as a consultant for her dialogue. If you're interested, pop on in and let me know who you are. I'd prefer for her to be as accurate as possible. Aoibheann is a fan favorite character, and changing how her dialogue is written doesn't have to change her attitude or personality.
Ok, i didn't expect to be so hooked by the game. Know that i really like the gobelin girls. I like their personnalities and their relationship between them. Jade too but probably for the kink.

Hey, thank you so much! All of the blank slots in each girl's gallery are just placeholders for potential future content. They're not scenes you haven't unlocked yet, though they probably give off that vibe, huh? Sadly I wasn't the one who built the gallery, so I generally don't touch it other than to turn one of those locked slots into an actual scene once it's added to the game.
This game was so beautiful and wonderful. really enjoyed the story. I could tell it took alot of work. I dont usually leave reviews but I felt this product deserved one.
I am SO glad for the Yandere warning in the beginning. Even with it, it took quite a lot not to stop playing. And what a nice game I would have missed! The writing is REALLY good, I like the fact that a lot of characters have their own mannerisms (beyond the "defining characteristic") - but I must admit in that regard "Aweebin" is my favourite ^^.
The story is riveting and ties in the lewdness nicely and unobtrusively. And the girls are very nice to look at (not all equally, but with such a wide range of body types and charcters, I'm guessing everybody has a "least favourite").
Good to know that's saving the game for some people. Dealing with Cecilia is rough emotionally, but in my mind the light needs shadow to appear bright by comparison. If everything was perfect, it'd be a little bit boring. The prologue comes off a lot rougher and more negative-toned than I intended, and I hope to adjust that someday, but my hope was that the player would feel the satisfaction of climbing out of a ditch and overcoming the assumptions made about them, proving themselves against an unfair standard.
When I started writing this, I never imagined Cecilia would be so polarizing. Since then, I've learned a lot about the AVN community, and I'm glad my Something For Everyone philosophy of character design is doing it for so many people.

Jade is my personal favorite by far. Her attitude and personality are just my style, and the fact that she's a Muay Thai practitioner just seals the deal. As a martial artist myself, I appreciate when someone actually knows the names of specific techniques and katas, and doesn't just randomly start spitting out a bunch of random nonsense names because they sound cool. It's also great that you describe the thoughts going through the combatants heads in order to formulate a strategy.
I also appreciate the fact that you show very clearly that just because you're a martial artist, you are NOT invincible, and shit can happen outside of your control. Cecilia clearly didn't just have the natural talent to "adapt" to the MC's fighting style. She put in the work and trained her ass off in order to make MC see her as a legitimate danger/challenge. She might be bat shit crazy, but her dedication to her goal has to be admired.
SOMEBODY GETS IT! I keep hearing how "he's supposed to be this badass but gets taken out by a little girl" and I'm like, "y'all..."
I appreciate that you got what I was going for with Cecilia and her intent. She's conditioned herself specifically to counter the MC, so if she were to go up against someone like Jade, she'd have a significantly harder time. Cecilia's motivation and self training were clear as day the moment MC started dialoging about how she was harder to handle every time they met. Maybe it's just because I trained my ass off as well, but I would hope it would be clear to more people.
It just goes to show that not everyone understands how fighting actually works. There is no "ultimate style" that will win every time. It all comes down to strategy and training, even someone you have already defeated can come back and wipe the floor with you if you don't have a sound strategy and execute properly.
Sadly I don't actually practice and train anymore due to health issues that limit my mobility. Took a bad fall that screwed my back up royally, causing me to have to get my L4, L5, and S1 fused. I'm not asking for anyone's pity though, it was my own arrogance that brought it about. I was overconfident during a self defense incident and got taken to the ground, smashing my lower back against a rock. I'm just glad it didn't paralyze me.

Okay I just reached chapter 6 so I'm going ahead and posting my opinion. First the critiques. That's the easiest mostly I wouldn't mind seeing some more choices to at least give some interaction with it even if it doesn't really affect the story. Having enough player interaction could make or break any game. Couple of places here or there that some typos need to be fixed on but that's not a big deal. Finally the positive. The story is interesting and freaking adorable along with the characters. Every time you think you have a favorite girl a new one gets introduced and boom you have a new favorite. Most of them are so sweet and the dialogue of the main character is great as well. The story is very well written and I have to say a great job has been done in crafting each one of the characters unique personality. Looking forward to much more to come.
This project has been very much a learning experience for me. As stated in the description of the title, it is a "mostly linear" experience, as I'm an author first and not much of a game designer lol. That being said, I've definitely been learning more and more about game design and coding within Ren'py itself, and Chapter 7 will feature a much more choice-heavy narrative, as that seems to be the chief request among many of the readers/players.
And I greatly appreciate you taking the time to read my comment. It's always a very good sign when the creators take time to listen to their fans and interact with them. You are definitely on the right track no doubt about it.
I usually Uninstal games until thr next update, but I'll be keeping this one. I usually don't play VNs that don't have many choices but this ones got me hooked. Can't wait for the next update!
This game is fantastic and would be better if it doesn't crash constantly. Playing on Samsung tab a SM T510 with android 11. I can't get past the text messages with Chaira, River and Aoibheann. I guess I could skip it but kinda want to now abut the conversations. Otherwise excellent story. I'll keep trying.
That should take you to a Compressed Android version that may perhaps work better.
That being said, I've already entirely replaced the texting system with another one that is working much better, and I'm gonna do a mid-cycle patch that overhauls the text system, rewrites some dialogue in Ch 4 and 6, and fills in the missing Ch 6 H-scenes very soon. So if you can hold on for a little bit, everything should be fixed fairly soon.
In the next update. I'll either deliver them and a replacement for the text system together, which will be 0.1.5.6, or I'll deliver all of that and the rest of the third week in 0.1.6, the full Chapter 6 update. Don't worry. I gotchu.
I downloaded this game at night and it is now early morning. I have no idea how long this game is been in production, but i have to say for your first Ren'Py game. This is absolutely amazing. The story telling, character development and pace of the game is perfect. You've done an amazing job and i'm beyond impressed with this game it is already up there with my favorites. I can already see the future success of this game and i wish the dev/devs the best during the development of the game you should be proud of what you've achieved don't know if you noticed but im already a big fan :)
As of the First Half of Chapter 6 update, there are 2 and a half in-game weeks of content. Time depends on your reading speed. As far as finishing the game goes... I currently have no plans to "finish" it in a traditional sense. I have four story arcs planned, and we're nearing the end of the first one. I plan to keep updating the game for the next few years so... I suppose it'll be finished when it's finished? Sorry if that doesn't help. I plan for this to be a very long game.
Just finished chapter 2 and I gotta say this has some incredible worldbuilding, the characters are great and most importantly, there's finally a game I can romance a goblin girl in. Excited to see what comes next!
so from what I saw from chapter 1 to 5 is the girl with the dolls is like “hey just a friendly reminder that this person I have in my hand is gonna suffer fatal injuries or most likely death”

But seriously the game is awesome man...great start and it just keeps getting better..u hav done a fentastic job of story telling so far i just wish for avoiding certain scenes n to have more choices so i can hav a bit more control..like for example to avoid being a wingman n go headstrong for eshtel ahahaha...i just hope I can win over eshtel later in the game so pls make my dream come true 🙏

No NTR, not ever. Now, there WILL be characters that the MC does NOT have access to that have relationships with others. But none of the MC's love interests will become physical with other dudes. The community has been VERY adamant about that, and I aim to listen.
Out of curiosity, why don’t people like NTR? I personally love stealing girls from others. Make the girls cheat with me. Love that, why do people hate it? I don’t get it.
I won't speak for everyone, as there are many other people with different experiences, but the soul crushing feeling of being cheated on and made to think it was my fault for it happening is not fun. I don't like to see it because it happened to me in the past, but that's just personally my take on it. Hope this helped a little into the understanding
I've been a huge fan of the game for a bit over half a year now and it's not just the no NTR so sorry for the placement of this comment but how involved you are as a creator with the whole game is part of what makes it so amazing. You can tell that you genuinely care about the world and put your feelings and soul into it, leaving some stretches with few h-scenes for a while but having better story than many books or shows out there. The way this whole project is handled with genuine love makes it feel so real and stand out from other games in every aspect.
P.S. I'm putting this comment here because part of the fun of this game is your personal touch and the friendliness and comedy we get from you as an author as well which just makes it that much better
Btw regardless of what the project is your level of involvement with the audience, caring for the people playing it and the project itself, even shown in your speed to reply is a level above what most other creators care to do. I wasn't sure at first, but this really grew on me. I like how it keeps expanding. I enjoy the storytelling. I love the exotic characters and world lore.
The developer said this was their first VN and that they were learning. I think I can see that play out over this experience and hope they continue to push out new content.
This game is ridiculously preachy. The main character can't go 10 seconds talking to somebody without some cheesy lines about body positivity and it's the same recycled conversation with every character. I'm all for body positivity, but the dialogue just really, really sucks my attention away from the game. For instance, the entire conversation with Rukah in the art room the first time you talk to her. It reads like a fanfic written by a woman that has never talked to a guy before.
I'm sorry that's how you feel about it. The rest of the thousands of people who have given feedback on the game love the MC, say he's a breath of fresh air in a sea of complete douche MCs who don't seem to care who they damage in pursuit of their endeavors. This is a slow burn AVN with huge emotional and story-driven undertones. If you're looking for a quick snap and fap game, this ain't it, chief.
Well I'm gonna be honest here..i personally like the mc and every other charecter in the game have their quirks that makes them really interesting individually...i believe it's on the right track i don't have any trouble with story telling and i like how the conversation goes btw two charecters...huge thumbs up for that 👍

Oh are you talking about Ravager? Great game. Inspired me to start working on a couple of clans of dragon chicks, but I haven't finished them. Yeah, sorry to disappoint you, but this game is pretty different from most adult games. I wrote the main character to be pretty wholesome and emotionally intelligent, and the story quality is what carries it, not the h-content. Hopefully you'll give it a shot anyway :)

I feel you on that, and I do have some answers for you. I'm basically brand new to making these types of games as well. Had to teach myself to use Ren'Py and Ai Shoujo, the game that I made all the characters in. And I discovered you can make some really high quality stuff this way. HoneySelect 2 and Ai Shoujo are great for more realistic characters, and Koikatsu Party is for the more anime, more cartoony looking ones. Look up the BetterRepack versions of the game and you can download fully modded versions of these games that get mod updates fairly often.
As for where to release/where to get support, if your game has questionable content, your best platform for support is probably SubscribeStar. They care a LOT less than Patreon does about the game content. As for where to release, if your stuff is REALLY off the rails, LewdCorner has a section for games that were banned from F95Zone where your game might find a good home. That banned section is pretty popular on LC.
And I think a lot of creators have to SAY that their characters are 18+ to avoid trouble with the platforms. Some games, like Daddy's Little Girls, skirt this issue by letting the PLAYER enter the characters' names, ages, and relations, and having the defaults set to at least 18. That way, if something changes, it's on the player, not the dev.
And don't ever worry about rambling lol I love when people are passionate about games. Makes me want to work harder on mine.

just started the game (0.1.5 with bug fix) and the game crashes when I try to open the character book (still in the prologue, after I got the notification "Gillie’s Gallery Unlocked!" and the menu got available).
Renpy throws the error "NameError: name 'gillie_met' is not defined" and that's true: I poked a little bit in your code and you set "met" variables but only persistent ones (e.g. '$ persistent.gillie_met = True' in 00Prologue.rpy::341) but the char book scripts checks for game specific variables (e.g. 'if gillie_met:' in character_book.rpy::110).
imo you should set _both_ variables (persistent.gillie_met = True and gillie_met = True; same for all the other _met) - the first one for the main gallery, the second one to track progress within one game)
PS did you change the variable name from UL_<name>_met to <name>_met in one of the releases? there's a block of defaults for the first set in gamevar.rpy, never used in the scripts
I'm currently in chapter 2 and noticed by chance that the upper left corner gives access to a phone.
opening the first messages screen throws the error "Could not find font u'Abel-Regular.ttf'", but after adding the font to the game directory one can only read "This is first message from aoibheann", looks more like some kind of dev experiment?
and changing the background image gives the error 'jade_wallpaper2 not found' (but hey, no exception ;))
You guessed it! These are two experimental features I was testing and forgot to hide the screens on lol. The character book will likely be dropped but the phone system is done and should be included in the next build. Good eye!
I'm aiming for June for the next build since the game will turn 1 year old by then, but I don't know if I can make it because this next build is packed with a ton of content and extra features, such as optional scenes and a new phone system I'm trying to learn how to use. People told me the days were a little light on content, so I'm trying to pack more events and scenes into each day. What might end up happening is an early release of 2 or 3 days' worth of content in May or June, and the rest of the week hopefully a month or two after. I've been having a LOT of ideas lately, and some of them conflict, so choosing which path to take with the main story has been really tough, and that's slowed down the production quite a bit. But I'm scripting and scripting away, and you'll have it in your hands eventually. :)

This was handled by the patch file that is shown when you enter the Downloads area here on Itch. Download the patch and have the new file overwrite the old files. Or, you can hit Ignore and the scene will continue. I accidentally left in an old variable. Skip the variable and the scene continues as normal.
There is an unofficial Android port on F95zone.com. I have no way to test Android ports, so I haven't been making them. However, due to the high volume of requests, I'm going to try one with the next build.

I am SO glad for the Yandere warning in the beginning. Even with it, it took quite a lot not to stop playing. And what a nice game I would have missed! The writing is REALLY good, I like the fact that a lot of characters have their own mannerisms (beyond the "defining characteristic") - but I must admit in that regard "Aweebin" is my favourite ^^.
The story is riveting and ties in the lewdness nicely and unobtrusively. And the girls are very nice to look at (not all equally, but with such a wide range of body types and charcters, I'm guessing everybody has a "least favourite").
VERY nice, can't wait for the next update!
Good to know that's saving the game for some people. Dealing with Cecilia is rough emotionally, but in my mind the light needs shadow to appear bright by comparison. If everything was perfect, it'd be a little bit boring. The prologue comes off a lot rougher and more negative-toned than I intended, and I hope to adjust that someday, but my hope was that the player would feel the satisfaction of climbing out of a ditch and overcoming the assumptions made about them, proving themselves against an unfair standard.
When I started writing this, I never imagined Cecilia would be so polarizing. Since then, I've learned a lot about the AVN community, and I'm glad my Something For Everyone philosophy of character design is doing it for so many people.

Jade is my personal favorite by far. Her attitude and personality are just my style, and the fact that she's a Muay Thai practitioner just seals the deal. As a martial artist myself, I appreciate when someone actually knows the names of specific techniques and katas, and doesn't just randomly start spitting out a bunch of random nonsense names because they sound cool. It's also great that you describe the thoughts going through the combatants heads in order to formulate a strategy.
I also appreciate the fact that you show very clearly that just because you're a martial artist, you are NOT invincible, and shit can happen outside of your control. Cecilia clearly didn't just have the natural talent to "adapt" to the MC's fighting style. She put in the work and trained her ass off in order to make MC see her as a legitimate danger/challenge. She might be bat shit crazy, but her dedication to her goal has to be admired.
SOMEBODY GETS IT! I keep hearing how "he's supposed to be this badass but gets taken out by a little girl" and I'm like, "y'all..."
I appreciate that you got what I was going for with Cecilia and her intent. She's conditioned herself specifically to counter the MC, so if she were to go up against someone like Jade, she'd have a significantly harder time. Cecilia's motivation and self training were clear as day the moment MC started dialoging about how she was harder to handle every time they met. Maybe it's just because I trained my ass off as well, but I would hope it would be clear to more people.
It just goes to show that not everyone understands how fighting actually works. There is no "ultimate style" that will win every time. It all comes down to strategy and training, even someone you have already defeated can come back and wipe the floor with you if you don't have a sound strategy and execute properly.
Sadly I don't actually practice and train anymore due to health issues that limit my mobility. Took a bad fall that screwed my back up royally, causing me to have to get my L4, L5, and S1 fused. I'm not asking for anyone's pity though, it was my own arrogance that brought it about. I was overconfident during a self defense incident and got taken to the ground, smashing my lower back against a rock. I'm just glad it didn't paralyze me.

Okay I just reached chapter 6 so I'm going ahead and posting my opinion. First the critiques. That's the easiest mostly I wouldn't mind seeing some more choices to at least give some interaction with it even if it doesn't really affect the story. Having enough player interaction could make or break any game. Couple of places here or there that some typos need to be fixed on but that's not a big deal. Finally the positive. The story is interesting and freaking adorable along with the characters. Every time you think you have a favorite girl a new one gets introduced and boom you have a new favorite. Most of them are so sweet and the dialogue of the main character is great as well. The story is very well written and I have to say a great job has been done in crafting each one of the characters unique personality. Looking forward to much more to come.
This project has been very much a learning experience for me. As stated in the description of the title, it is a "mostly linear" experience, as I'm an author first and not much of a game designer lol. That being said, I've definitely been learning more and more about game design and coding within Ren'py itself, and Chapter 7 will feature a much more choice-heavy narrative, as that seems to be the chief request among many of the readers/players.

This game is fantastic and would be better if it doesn't crash constantly. Playing on Samsung tab a SM T510 with android 11. I can't get past the text messages with Chaira, River and Aoibheann. I guess I could skip it but kinda want to now abut the conversations. Otherwise excellent story. I'll keep trying.

That should take you to a Compressed Android version that may perhaps work better.
That being said, I've already entirely replaced the texting system with another one that is working much better, and I'm gonna do a mid-cycle patch that overhauls the text system, rewrites some dialogue in Ch 4 and 6, and fills in the missing Ch 6 H-scenes very soon. So if you can hold on for a little bit, everything should be fixed fairly soon.

I downloaded this game at night and it is now early morning. I have no idea how long this game is been in production, but i have to say for your first Ren'Py game. This is absolutely amazing. The story telling, character development and pace of the game is perfect. You've done an amazing job and i'm beyond impressed with this game it is already up there with my favorites. How long is this game right now and how long do you expect it to be when done?
As of the First Half of Chapter 6 update, there are 2 and a half in-game weeks of content. Time depends on your reading speed. As far as finishing the game goes... I currently have no plans to "finish" it in a traditional sense. I have four story arcs planned, and we're nearing the end of the first one. I plan to keep updating the game for the next few years so... I suppose it'll be finished when it's finished? Sorry if that doesn't help. I plan for this to be a very long game.
Just finished chapter 2 and I gotta say this has some incredible worldbuilding, the characters are great and most importantly, there's finally a game I can romance a goblin girl in. Excited to see what comes next!

No NTR, not ever. Now, there WILL be characters that the MC does NOT have access to that have relationships with others. But none of the MC's love interests will become physical with other dudes. The community has been VERY adamant about that, and I aim to listen.

I won't speak for everyone, as there are many other people with different experiences, but the soul crushing feeling of being cheated on and made to think it was my fault for it happening is not fun. I don't like to see it because it happened to me in the past, but that's just personally my take on it. Hope this helped a little into the understanding
I've been a huge fan of the game for a bit over half a year now and it's not just the no NTR so sorry for the placement of this comment but how involved you are as a creator with the whole game is part of what makes it so amazing. You can tell that you genuinely care about the world and put your feelings and soul into it, leaving some stretches with few h-scenes for a while but having better story than many books or shows out there. The way this whole project is handled with genuine love makes it feel so real and stand out from other games in every aspect.
P.S. I'm putting this comment here because part of the fun of this game is your personal touch and the friendliness and comedy we get from you as an author as well which just makes it that much better

This game is ridiculously preachy. The main character can't go 10 seconds talking to somebody without some cheesy lines about body positivity and it's the same recycled conversation with every character. I'm all for body positivity, but the dialogue just really, really sucks my attention away from the game. For instance, the entire conversation with Rukah in the art room the first time you talk to her. It reads like a fanfic written by a woman that has never talked to a guy before.
I'm sorry that's how you feel about it. The rest of the thousands of people who have given feedback on the game love the MC, say he's a breath of fresh air in a sea of complete douche MCs who don't seem to care who they damage in pursuit of their endeavors. This is a slow burn AVN with huge emotional and story-driven undertones. If you're looking for a quick snap and fap game, this ain't it, chief.

Yeah, sorry to disappoint you, but this game is pretty different from most adult games. I wrote the main character to be pretty wholesome and emotionally intelligent, and the story quality is what carries it, not the h-content. Hopefully you'll give it a shot anyway :)

I feel you on that, and I do have some answers for you. I'm basically brand new to making these types of games as well. Had to teach myself to use Ren'Py and Ai Shoujo, the game that I made all the characters in. And I discovered you can make some really high quality stuff this way. HoneySelect 2 and Ai Shoujo are great for more realistic characters, and Koikatsu Party is for the more anime, more cartoony looking ones. Look up the BetterRepack versions of the game and you can download fully modded versions of these games that get mod updates fairly often.
As for where to release/where to get support, if your game has questionable content, your best platform for support is probably SubscribeStar. They care a LOT less than Patreon does about the game content. As for where to release, if your stuff is REALLY off the rails, LewdCorner has a section for games that were banned from F95Zone where your game might find a good home. That banned section is pretty popular on LC.
And I think a lot of creators have to SAY that their characters are 18+ to avoid trouble with the platforms. Some games, like Daddy's Little Girls, skirt this issue by letting the PLAYER enter the characters' names, ages, and relations, and having the defaults set to at least 18. That way, if something changes, it's on the player, not the dev.
And don't ever worry about rambling lol I love when people are passionate about games. Makes me want to work harder on mine.

just started the game (0.1.5 with bug fix) and the game crashes when I try to open the character book (still in the prologue, after I got the notification "Gillie’s Gallery Unlocked!" and the menu got available).
Renpy throws the error "NameError: name 'gillie_met' is not defined" and that's true: I poked a little bit in your code and you set "met" variables but only persistent ones (e.g. '$ persistent.gillie_met = True' in 00Prologue.rpy::341) but the char book scripts checks for game specific variables (e.g. 'if gillie_met:' in character_book.rpy::110).
imo you should set _both_ variables (persistent.gillie_met = True and gillie_met = True; same for all the other _met) - the first one for the main gallery, the second one to track progress within one game)

and initialise them, a set of
default gillie_met = False
default whoever_met = False
...

PS did you change the variable name from UL_<name>_met to <name>_met in one of the releases? there's a block of defaults for the first set in gamevar.rpy, never used in the scripts

1) added the whole block of "default <name>_met = False" in gamevars
2) every time you set persistent.<name>_met = True I added <name>_met = True
3) started a new game.
-> not crashing anymore when opening the char book and chars the MC met are available

it's only available between 00Prologue.rpy::345 (show screen nav_screen) and ::378 (hide screen nav_screen).

I'm currently in chapter 2 and noticed by chance that the upper left corner gives access to a phone.
opening the first messages screen throws the error "Could not find font u'Abel-Regular.ttf'", but after adding the font to the game directory one can only read "This is first message from aoibheann", looks more like some kind of dev experiment?
and changing the background image gives the error 'jade_wallpaper2 not found' (but hey, no exception ;))
You guessed it! These are two experimental features I was testing and forgot to hide the screens on lol. The character book will likely be dropped but the phone system is done and should be included in the next build. Good eye!

I'm aiming for June for the next build since the game will turn 1 year old by then, but I don't know if I can make it because this next build is packed with a ton of content and extra features, such as optional scenes and a new phone system I'm trying to learn how to use. People told me the days were a little light on content, so I'm trying to pack more events and scenes into each day. What might end up happening is an early release of 2 or 3 days' worth of content in May or June, and the rest of the week hopefully a month or two after. I've been having a LOT of ideas lately, and some of them conflict, so choosing which path to take with the main story has been really tough, and that's slowed down the production quite a bit. But I'm scripting and scripting away, and you'll have it in your hands eventually. :)

This was handled by the patch file that is shown when you enter the Downloads area here on Itch. Download the patch and have the new file overwrite the old files. Or, you can hit Ignore and the scene will continue. I accidentally left in an old variable. Skip the variable and the scene continues as normal.
