Could someone tell me why in less than a day they already asked for marriage and I'm waiting almost a year to see if they get married

Interesting fact has khemia spoilers: in khemia the spinn of explains to us that the human is in quarantine another thing that is explained to us is that it has been 2 to 4 years since amicus left him

I'm sad knowing that they didn't show when they got married and that's why I'm sad even so if the creators explained about the ring I have no doubt that they got married

(+2)

(+5)

I finished this game 4 months ago and still thinking about it, this is the best VN's if not the best game I've ever played it made me UGLY CRY at the end and i just wish i could play it again.

If you are reading these comments trying to figure out whether to play it or not please do, if this doesn't convince you let the many others praising reviews let you.

Oh sweet Adastra how i wish i could go to the stars

(+1)

i totaly aggre with you xd

(+1)

Great Game, not expected for this to go so deep. Finished the game just over a month ago and I'm still thinking about it. Just looking back at the gallery and remembering the story is amazing. Love the everything about this VN, and might be hooked onto VNs now. Can't wait to find one as good as this, but seeing the ones I've played before. Don't think it's gonna happen. This VN is always going to be in my mind!

(+6)

cant stop crying. ):

(+5)

Me too… I can’t wait for the new projects to continue on the story.

This game was pretty fun :D Hope they make a continuation of the Human and Amicus in the future :3

(+2)

There is! But it still in development, Interea is the continuation with Amicus and The Human(Marco). And, there seems to be a hiatus at the moment on their, projects, so for now we could only hope they get back the gears turning.

It is under The Echo Project team.

Well, it's worth mentioning Interea is not a sequel, it's a "zoom" in some events happening during Adastra (in the main game, these events are briefed in a few lines). :D

(+1)

It might not be a sequel but, I like to think it is. But don’t worry, I guess I said it out of impulse since I loved the game too much… A lot actually~.

It's not really a continuation of sorts. It's more of an explanation of events that took place during a Time skip that was mentioned in the original game . Apologies if I came across as Rude by saying that though. I did not mean to

I think you are right… though is still some connection but… it’s better than nothing. And no worries, text can sometimes come out rude without wanting, and I know better.

agreed, it is better than nothing

I hope they make Adastra 2

(1 edit) (+3)

Was really hoping to get a scene with Neferu, but I guess that was too much to hope for.

Amicus is fine and everything, but the art style kept me from really being in tune with him; it's just a matter of preference though, so I can't fault them for that.

I finished the game just a bit ago, and while I can definitely say it was good, I had to stop for a few months because I burned out on the art style. It also seemed like they were a little heavy on the events leading up to the meat of the politics concerning Adastra.

If I had to divide the story into three sections, it'd be the trials, getting rid of Cato, then the uneasy peace that follows after.

One thing I really liked was how they used Marco as a puppet, getting underneath Amicus's skin like that. It was unnerving in the best way.

I believe if the art had a more Nekojishi approach, or something like Four Way Junction, I'd have enjoyed it a lot more. While the story tackles many mature themes like the sense of purpose and the weight of humanity, the cartoonish style almost delegitimizes them and makes them hard to take seriously.

But the story was very good, I found myself being drawn to Neferu more than Amicus, but again, just preference.

(+3)

That’s what The Echo Project team are known for. If you really want to see some heavy stuff, not political but psychological and horror romance. I recommend this other 3 games. Just be careful since it really is heavy:

The Smoke Room: Supernatural/Psychological horror, romance. It hits hard if you are not careful. The project is still on development.

Echo: Psychological, horror. I have yet to try to play it, but this one is really heavy too. Make sure to prepare if you want to get into it. The project is finished.

Arches: Psychological horror, and mental illness. I recently finish this one is a Continuation of The Smoke Room… or even Echo. Just a hell of an emotional rollercoaster. Be prepared for anything on this one. The project is still on development.

Just be prepared because it can give you nightmares if you aren’t careful… I still see some of those things in the dark.

Yeah, I've seen any kind of horror and thriller movies (my favorites), old and new, and some of those made me think for one night or two, but the first chapter of The Smoke Room gave me nightmares for a couple weeks. I first read it after midnight and absolutely wasn't prepared for what it had coming! I started reading it's first build, and took it slowly after that first shock. I've had to restart it a couple of times. I like to re read everything to refresh my memory, but though I've been updating it for months, need to build the courage to read that first chapter again.

(+1)

When you say the first chapter, do you mean Sam with his starting of problems in his head, or do you mean for a specific route?

Moving aside, the question. I also had problems with it when I first read it, though now I have some new kind of immunity for the depictions on The Smoke Room. But I will not lie, I still feel like there are eyes watching me while I sleep. Even though my room does not have windows… and natural light.

(+2)

I'm glad my friend recommended this game to me. The game was not even a game for me, and for many more players, but seemed to have become a real experience. I was amazed at the artistic effect of the period, whether it was text, painting or music, and the knowledge I covered was also very extensive. Knowing Amicus is one of the happiest things in life。(*・v・*)/

(+1)

That was such a beautiful game! I just finished playing it and now the inevitable sadness has arrived! Everything about this game was so beautiful! The prose; the soundtrack; the background art; the sprites! Everything was so beautifully well made! I am going to miss experiencing this game for the first time when I replay it!

10/10 - SJR

(+3)

The feels are deadly and can kill 10/10

(+3)

Just finished the game and was left with sadness Ive never felt before.

While I havent played the other 2 games yet. About to get them in a moment.

I can confidently say that this has been my all time favorite VN that I have played and Im not much into them. from what Ive seen so far in the disply of Khemia, Id wonder if theyre be a version or separate VN of Marco's story of how his mission goes.(?)

Like get his side of the story while everything else is happening back of Adastra and Khemia. Again I havent yet played them yet so my comment might just be gibberish. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I believe it will have too much political stuff, that is on redacted and we kinda know how it goes. Also, I believe it will be less interesting compared to Khemia, and the new world that we can only imagine… for now… Khemia is still in development.

I would love to see an additional story with MC and Amicus...

(1 edit) (+1)

There is but it still in development, if you want to see what happens after the mission then see Interea. And there seems to be a hiatus at the moment, so for now we could only hope.

If you want to know more what happens during the Mission see Khemia

Both are under The Echo Project

Thank you!

so let me make good and sure here... the order to read these 3 VN in order is Adastra > Khemia > Interea???

(+1)

That’s the order, yes! But like I said they are still in development

Awesome sauce ^_^ thanks

(+2)

interea takes place within the story of adastra, it is the moon trip that was not told in detail and khemia is the direct sequel. Adastra> interea> adastra ending> khemia

I would say that this VN perfectly done for bringing the story. NSFW often labelled as adult/mature content but 'adult' and 'mature' is different things. This VN told us what it mean by being 'mature' is, instead just some sex scenes that we hoped for.

My suggestion: in gallery, I didn't found 'previous page'. In gallery too, it's better to replay the events instead just show similar illustration with different expression.

I put high expectations on Khemia and others Echo Project's projects...

Cheers!

(+1)

I had a question about something I recently realized about this Vn, Was the connection to the Myth of Romulus and Remus intentional? or was it just something that happened out of sheer coincidence?

I've been thinking about this all day after I realized and it still awes me how intricate the whole story seems to be... :)

(1 edit) (+1)

A very open-ended one… I can say that a lot of effort was put in it. I do wish to see more of how exactly our character Marco(The main character) ended with Amicus, I do love the story and the characters.

I do recommend anyone to try it. I can say that is actually done, but it is open-ended. Don’t expect the ending to be wonderful.

Understanding the position of our character is sometimes difficult, but it is well done. I love the character of Amicus, though I wish there was more interaction, since it was hard to see our MC having to just… not talking when there was an ¨incident¨. Not to spoil, so I will be vage on some information of the game. Also, I love the whole world that this story conveys. If you want to continue the story the two projects that are in development are Khemia and Interea, Khemia is a continuation on the mission and Interea is a Continuation after the mission.

Khemia and Interea are still in development

I would love to see that ring as an image because it really intrigued my imagination. It had a wonderful meaning.

...

(1 edit) (+2)

Major Spoilers for the VN. Watch at your own risk

You just like to give goosebumps, don’t you? I’m feeling shivers through my whole body just remembering the redacted. The happiest moment of the complete VN.

I hate speaking on behalf of the creators, my opinion does not reflect theirs, but I don't think they would like people to create and publish fan games, as it is art stealth and plagiarism :/

Oh okay nevermind then!

(+1)

I just finished this and now I feel so empty. Amazing work! I remember seeing it around a few different time the last couple years and I finally looked into it yesterday and continued to read until I was finished. Haven’t cried this hard a while. Sad to say I’m few days late as to purchasing the restock of the amicus plushies. I hope someone can point me in the direction to what to read next, Khemia or Interea. Thank you so much creators for this! My only regret is that I waited so long to read it :’)

Maybe you would like "Far Beyond the World"? It is honestly my favorite visual novel lol

(+8)

Just finished my third reading of Adastra collecting the Gallery and endings.

I still belly-sobbed each time.

The creators of this Echo-verse story have once again created characters that make you want to believe in and have in your own life. The artists and writers combined to make such memorable figures that it was easy to empathize and experience the story as if you were there and invested in what was happening.

As I say each time i finish a Echo-verse story: Thank you so much, creators, for creating and sharing this experience with us.

Thank you.

(+2)

Yes

will this story continue ?
its sad how it ended

(-1)

hopefully, but with all the issues happening atm it's probably not going to be continued

oh that sad but at least  this was a good story

(+1)

Well, we all hope for them to keep the story alive, they did started making the VN called Khemia, telling the story of 3 years after the ending of the VN - Adastra, but the VN - Khemia got on Hiatus because burnout, so they now can focus on the VN - Interea, that tells the story of the 9 months the MC had before returning to earth to start his unifying mission etc.

Though I would prefer for them to keep going with Khemia too, but I understand they need more time writing the story, getting thigs done with real life stuff, we all are suffering from all sides, maybe supporting them on Patreon for some spoilers of the story would be good if you can't hold yourself to wait for the story to come. xD

Wait, what issues?

Did something happen?

(1 edit) (-1)

the back and forth argument and hate between The Echo Project and the creators of Far Beyond The World

a lot of people spammed reports on each game and it slowed down progress for both devs

oh wow, never knew about this

yeah it sucks

(+6)

helpp!!! im having trouble downloading this in my iphone. i just changed to apple and i cant seem to figure out how to download the vn. can someone help me

(+1)

(+3)

Someone recommended me this vn...now I can't stop thinking about this

(+6)

I just finished the game. :( I really liked the story and now I am sad.

(+5)

I think most of us are after finishing it :/

(+4)(-10)

I will be completely honest: I didn’t really liked this visual novel.

As far as I understand the main draw for it is Amicus, and I didn’t really liked him. I connected with him somewhat during the course of the story, but then he threw Marco under the bus by sending him back home with an impossible mission and with no help from his side whatsoever and I lost all sympathy for him, as well as all of the interest in all of its sequels and supplementary material…. Althought it isn’t that much of a problem considering that all of it stuck in development hell.

On a side note I really didn’t enjoy any of his nsfw scenes with Marco. They all were a bit too rapey from his side for my liking.

For me the most interesting characters were Neferu and Alexios.

(1 edit)

Unfortunately, they haven't got the focus they need to truly shine. The fact that are you soft locked only on Amicus and can't side with them also hurts.

(+1)

Spoiler :   He didn't threw him back home, the parents did,he had no choice but to get back to earth and it was one of the hardest moment of his life...and ours too

(+2)

I am in absolute awe. This game is absolutely extraordinary in every right. I finished about 20 minutes ago and I have been rendered speechless for the past couple of hours. I mean it when I say this has to be the most well-written visual novels out there. Just like many of the other comments, I have felt a rollercoaster of emotions along with many tears being jerked left, right, and center. Adastra will definitely be one experience I keep dear in my heart, as well as Amicus. Being a hopeless romantic, this game hits every spot for me, and I hope that eventually there will be a sequel past Khemia.

(1 edit) (+2)

For those of you who just made it to the ending and have come here to leave a review, have a listen to (totally relevant I promise) this kpop song to lift your spirits. The song's lyrics almost match the romance in this story so make sure your captions are on.

This short visual novel:

  • Is friendly to new visual novel readers.
  • Has no complex paths or mechanics.
  • Has exciting romance, suspense and drama.
  • Has an ending that makes you yearn.

After the climax, you get introduced to new story points that are not expanded but provide potential for the sequel. I don't mind waiting for several years!

Personally, romance is not a genre I read often but I lost my appetite while playing this because I got butterflies in my stomach. I made to THE END a few hours ago but I am still going through an book hangover or something like that.

Two thumbs (paws) up. 5 out of 5 stars. 100% love it!

(+5)

Yeah no, this is one of the very few games that made me breakdown into tears. Adastra has given me a completely new feeling I've never experienced. Phenomenal piece of writing and the art and characters are absolutely perfect.

Well done to the developers.

(+2)

I do not regret playing this game, in fact I enjoyed every part of it. I cried, laughed, and smiled while playing this. It was my first visual novel and I had no idea a visual novel game that is so simple could make me feel so many emotions! I LOVE ADASTRA SO MUCH <3

(1 edit) (+4)

This game is absolutely fantastic! I LOVE the storyline and the art! it was a constant sycle of "oh WHAT?" to "OHHHH ok" i loved it. And the amount of plot twists is amazing! Took me 3 days to complete the game but it was so damn worth it.

i really badly wanna see more. This is really addicting and i just love how the characters where done. The lore is so good

Honestly felt upset when it ended i really want more and i am so damn attached to our main furry big boi <3

GREAT JOB. that's all i gatta say.

(1 edit)
What did Amicus use to smell lavender? shampoo? perfume?
I forgot

Ícone "Verificada pela comunidade"

As I'm writing this, I just finished the game about 10 minutes ago. This is honestly the first game review that I've wanted to write.

I just want to take the time to express my absolute appreciation for the team over at The Echo Project. What a game this was...

Adastra is probably, no, it IS the only game that made me feel such deep emotion. This is going to sound preachy, but I'm not one to get emotionally swayed very much by video games. However, Adastra really felt as if I was the main character, experiencing every tiny feeling of fear, love, and uncertainty of what lies ahead. While playing, there were so many times where I actually cried, where I was shocked, and where I was heartbroken. I honestly can't express how moved I was while playing. It's really something you have to experience yourself by playing. As I am sitting here writing this review, I already miss Adastra (and Amicus >w<)!

The story is perfect, the music is perfect, the characters are perfect. I honestly have no complaints. The Echo Project deserves every bit of praise and appreciation that they can get, and I'm honestly disappointed that they haven't gotten far more recognition. If I had the means, I would become a Patreon supporter in a heartbeat. For what seems like a small group of devs and creators, the game seems like it could have been released from a large dev company. Every bit of Adastra is truly beautiful.

If you're debating or interested in playing Adastra, I 100% recommend it. It is a long story, so be prepared to invest quite a bit of your time into it. Really enjoy it too, there were moments where I had to rush through parts of the story because I was too busy haha, and I regret it. I just wish that this isn't the end of Amicus and the Human because I certainly am hoping for a second installment (the Human has got to come back!).

I hope that Adastra will capture those same emotions for you too!

sorry for the wall of text haha

(+2)

One of the best-written reviews I've ever seen here!
If you're looking for more Adastra, the writer began writing two new games: (Spoilers for those who haven't finished Adastra yet)

First you have Khemia: A sequel to Adastra happening 2.5 years after the Human's departure. In this game, you play as Scipio, a young wolf who's been chosen to go on a diplomatic mission alongside Amicus, Neferu, and some new characters (If you remember, there is a small scene at the end of Adastra in which Scipio tells Amicus the mission can begin). I'm guessing the story is going to focus on Neferu's relationship with his family, as well as on the political conflicts taking place on Khemia. And at last, I'm guessing the story is going to focus on Scipio x Neferu. "I'm guessing" because sadly, the writer suffered from a writer's block and is therefore incapable of working on the story right now. As a result of this block, the game is only 30 minutes long. Not more.
But! There's also another reason as to why the game's development is paused. And this reason is...

...Interea! Interea ("Meanwhile" in English) is a companion visual novel to Adastra, like some sort of spin-off, focusing of the Moon Tour's events (if you remember correctly, during Adastra, Amicus promises the Human he'll take him on a Moon Tour. Well, in the game, the events of this Tour are only summed up in a few lines. Vague descriptions of cities, etc...). Well here, the entire Interea game is about this Moon Tour. Be aware though that this game is still short and in development (maybe 1H long until you hit "To be continued...").

Hope I was able to help! :D

NB: If you want more EchoProject, they have two really big opuses: Adastra (and its universe, including Khemia and Interea) and Echo, a psychological horror Visual Novel, and if you love horror, I truly recommend it (and its universe, including The Smoke Room, Arches, Route 65, etc...)

Wow, thanks a bunch! I love horror genres so I absolutely will take a look at Echo. I'm going to try to play Interea and Khemia literally as soon as I have time (I cant wait for more bestest boy Amicus) and hop on that emotional rollercoaster again I'm sure hahaha. Thanks again!
