Maybe lower the requirement from a perfect minigame run to one that allows 1 hit? I can NOT get the timing of the first half-court strike down and I get the feeling the mini game is only going to get harder. Especially since I can't quickly reload my attempt to try again.
But still got a bug to report when I use windows version
When you meet the fish, after the dialogue your screen will stuck in the same place, but you still can move and talk to the npc, and if you do so, your screen will jump to where the npc are, but after the dialogue it will be like what I mention before, you will stuck at there, though after you leave the map the problem will be gone.

So far I have completed the Story, have all the movies and 17/18 scenes.
But I have 2 questions.
1. How do I get the last scene? (the last one/furthest to the right in the gallery)
I have been going back and forth between areas hoping for a new date, but after 30 minutes of this I gave up on that. I thought maybe I have to finish the novice training, so I did that (with 2 hits taken)
Did I miss something? Do I have to do it with 0 hits?
2. I bought the Jar thinking it will probably be usefull later, but so far I haven't found a use for it. Is this for the next version or did I miss something?
Also a lil bit of feedback, for the training game it might be usefull to have a "try again?" button as otherwise one has to click through quite a bit of conversation to give it another shot. (With someone as unskilled as me it took many many tries to just get it at all.)
Edit: tried loading a previous chapter and seeing if I said something wrong at some point. Turns out that also cleans out my gallery ;w;

Based on a Carrot picture I've seen before, it's likely the jar is used for the fireflies you see around the village, to be used in the dark forest in order to find some secret path. But since I can't get passed the effing plant stage anymore because SUDDENLY the spacebar mashing decided to stop working, I can't confirm that.
I had so much fun with the update! The characters are absolutely adorable and lovely written. There are far too many things I would love to see being added in the future and I imagine you have planned a couple more. So keep it up! =D
The only minor struggle I had (besides the insible wall during the sweater quest) was Dustin's Minigame: You always have to start with the Pratice Round, if you fail during the Novice Level, which is an inconvenience (desktop version). But I love the minigame itself (and Dustin) <3
Glad you enjoyed it! :}} That sounds like some kind of bug. Once you beat the practice round (I think it's 4 hits or less?) Dustin should ask you whether you want to do Novice or Practice every time. I'll see if I can find the problem!
Why is it taking the coyotes so long to finish the sweater?
I've been grinding dates for the past half-hour at least, waiting on them to finish, and I still can't come over to their side of the Plains. There seems to be an invisible wall. I tried restarting the game but it didn't work and I had to walk back to Oliver through the entire field because he wasn't there when I joined back.
Is the sweater not implemented and I should just stop playing here?
I think that's a soft lock. If you left the plains via Oliver after giving the coyotes the wool, you get that invisible wall. I think you're supposed to talk to Penny at the Red perch after you give the wool.
You can use the chapter select, pick the "Warm and cozy" quest, and ring the perch to call Penny, and that continues the story from there.
It's a bug! You can use chapter select (you'll have to replay gossips and dates, unfortunately) or try flying Penny back to the Plains perch from Central Forest or Lake. Looking for a fix so I can patch the game!
what do you think about adding a secret story with Dustin if you beat the training without dashing? something like a version with some slight cum inflation you unlock when doing the training without hitting space bar,so it wouldnt eat up any production time you can make everything the same, same dialogue , same place, same position, just a secret version with slight cum inflation you get for beating the training without hitting space bar
That's a fun idea! Sometimes less is more, & it's good to have just one story unlock for it in the gallery. We'll likely add more minigame rewards as we continue development!
you could add a 3rd gallery for secret stories and later on maybe some secret animations, it could be something you unlock on the main screen after unlocking your first secret, and it wouldnt tell you how many there are, but you could see all the secret stuff you unlocked there, it would also give more of a reson for players to travel and do things other then do quests and finish diologue trees, and players would look more closely at things and think more about what could be done, and explore more, i think it would be more fun for players and give a bunch more playability, even if its just a couple secret stories at first
I think the one we have now is a 64 bit universal binary? But I can look into whether we can do 32 bit. (No matter what, you're going to need .Net 4 to run the game on Windows! So it probably won't work on really old Windows versions)

Though I did find a weird bug? After I delivered the package to Augustus and jumped back in the water, I bumped with a fish and the screen locked in place. I had to walk into another area blind for it to work again, closing and opening only displaced the camera and made it worse. Seems to be okay now tho, but I thought it would be good to point it out.
I'm obviously doing something wrong. I'm using a mac. I download the file, unzip, and open terminal to use the sumo command but no luck. What am I doing wrong?
(A mobile version is a ton of work and will need a ton of testing! We're prioritizing other content first and slowly working towards Steam & mobile versions)
i've tried that already, this happens every time i try to race for a 2nd time and i can ask to race again but nothing changes, all the barriers are still up and i can walk through the ones at the end but it wont allow me to swim out either. it is avoidable so doesn't really affect the game play much, what dose affect the gameplay however is the looping animation when i try to swim, i cant even press escape to load a chapter and it is absolutely random with when it happens and if it will let you out
I'm still trying to find the cause of the swim transition bugging out. I think it's related to a computer with low memory or a slower CPU. The game needs to be optimized and something in the swim transition seems to be framerate-dependent. :/
The way you've described the broken race, it sounds like the game is really confused and has maybe corrupted your savegame. Try using Chapter Select (the [C] key, or available in the pause menu) to rewind to the latest unlocked chapter. You'll lose a bit of progress and all your gossips will need to be replayed, but it should reset the game to an uncorrupted state.

Update: So I literally played for 3 hours trying to finish that stupid ass plant quest, and get this; MASHING THE FUCKING SPACE BAR DOES NOTHING! Maybe fix your game before you start charging people money for it. Second update: Even doing it with a controller does absolutely fuck all. Either make the quest skippable, or fix your shit.
Can't use that as an excuse cuz I played this once through on the browser version within an hour of it being uploaded, then suddenly 6 hours later the game wants to shit the bed. Y'know, I love spending money on games that are less functional as time goes on.
Sounds frustrating indeed. I'll keep working to optimize it! We have a parallel Unity project for code rewrites that I'll be migrating to, now that Act 2 is published. Fingers crossed Act 3 will be less buggy! :}}
(Also I gotcha fam, I added a cheat code to skip the plant quest minigame that'll be included in the upcoming bugfix patch!)

Its not abandoned, they have on their patreon the latest version that was updated in august of this year. They just haven't updated the public version since last year

LOL, I'm exclusively a game developer and I've been developing my game for three years and I haven't even released a single demo. Developing games is difficult and takes a long time, even for those who are dedicated exclusively to it.
LOVED this! The art style, story and the characters....I hope to see an update(I drop by now and then to check if there's one). Wonderful lewd little game, keep up the good work ^_^

my save no longer exists after this update, thats okay though, it didnt take long to go through act 1 imo

You can save progress on the desktop builds! We are still working on a global save that persists progress between game versions.

found a small bug on the browser version where i get stuck in a loop of rascal jumping in the water
and another where i get stuck having a race
The squirrel is waiting for you to do two dashrolls to finish the race. If you're playing with a keyboard, it should be the [shift] key!

im playing on browser with the most average chromebook, and the chapter select worked

I think slow PC performance may be the reason for button mashing issues during the plant minigame, and the glitchy swim transition.
What are your system specs? (RAM amount, video card, processor?) Are you playing the game with a lot of other apps running in the background?
We're looking into doing more performance optimizations ASAP!

For the updates between the public ones, you have to be a supporter on Patreon.
Also, it was a long time till the first act was finished, so it isn’t surprising that the second takes so long.
Carrot is not an exclusive game creator but also an artist, so creating the game will take longer than it would with an exclusive game creator.
Which means, it can take several years before act two is finished.
