Had the same issue...go into your device settings and turn off mobile data completely, also turn sleep mode off on the phone screen and try the download. You need to have at least 8GB (might be 16 for some idiot browsers) of storage on your device not the SD card as the download gets staged there before it is moved to the destination location. Biggest two things is if your internet fades out and the device tries to switch to a different network the download will timeout and you won't be able to reconnect, you may need to delete the files and cookies related to the broken download in order to reinitiate the file transfer.
At the end make sure you stay on the download page until the entire file appears in your file manager...this is far from an instant process. The download will get staged in your browser cache on some devices then moved from the cache to the destination location. Its a pain but totally worth it.

No, I have the actual updated games on my desktop. And then I unzip the newer one in my downloads file. After the unzip I know that my saves sometimes transfer over once I unzip the file. So once I unzip it I delete the old one and then I transfer the newer one onto my desktop.

It fixed a few small bugs on joiplay that I can tolerate
I don't remember very well, I think I was unable to press buttons and I was able to fix it by saving the game, exitting, and reopening the game. I don't remember it well. The patch fixed this for me
This game is so good, that I only shared and translated a few scenes to spanish (I think 3 or 5), and my friends already love it. They aren't even playing it
They really wish the game was in spanish. So many of them want to play it. Hopefully someone can volunteer to translate the whole game in the future, it's so long though. I don't have enough time to translate a significant portion either.
One of the scenes I translated (spoiler alert). These scenes are not as good without the context, they really want to play it to know the context (instead of me vaguely summarizing the context in spanish, which removes all the emotion and build up)
It will probably take a long time, this game is so long, and I usually take an hour to translate a 10 minute video. I translated an Ace Attorney fangame once and it took me over a month.
But I am very glad that someone is already working on it! That means I won't have to wait 5 years hehe, and they'll be interested by the time I share it.
You realize google is a thing right? You can find cheats easily if you're too lazy to play. I pay because Runey deserves the money for the work that's already been done.
They've also never been needed to play, which was weird of Angeraw to assume. I have access to the cheats myself and recently finished a fresh save without them. Hell, I still have about four grand spare.
I think I fucked up really bad and there wasn't any to spare for a huge part of the game. I only started having money to spare when I built the bar

Edit: Finished the game being 3000 dollars in debt. Though, money doesn't restrict you from doing story-type stuff, it only restricts you from the shop (which can restrict you from the plot)
I had a two week in-game grind in order to buy one of the elves because I already spent all my money on clothes, thought the game was almost finished. That was the only time money stopped me. I was behind on so many optional things as well, I was too focused on the plot. Next time I play I'll focus on one girl at the time, instead of plot

I've tried the current Play Store version, current beta version, v1.01.400 from Apk Pure... aaaaand nothing. The app still force closes soon after opening the game.
Apparently, Android 11 is just as incapable as the previous versions. This is why you should never update your phone, but Samsung forces them... I think they all do but I'm not sure.

Hey I'm playing on android and im using an older version of joiplay, i turned off auto update in play store and installed the ren'py addon yet it still won't open the game like in 1.01.430.
Is there a way to get around this cos i really like this game and want to play the new update.
Basically after i press the icon for the game the screen goes black and then goes back to the joiplay main menu thingy and im using the older version is all.
If that doesn't explain thanks for bothering to read this and I'll just wait for the new joiplay version.
I had the same issue but I went to a different site and got the version previous to 1.01.430 which is 1.01.400 . By doing that I was able to access the game again and it is playing just fine. I used APKPure to obtain the version. I just reused the installed version of the RenPy plug in previously installed and it's working just fine. You don't have to use what I did but it was quick easy and it's working perfectly now so your mileage may vary lol. I am by no means a tech guru but I hope this helps.

The romcom that the MC watches with Maria, Ashley and Hana was actually "supposed" to be a commentary about the cultural treatment of elves but the writers/directors were forced to take the political commentary out of the script by the executives in order to avoid public outrage.
After all, it's a pretty known idea that (in general) artists and entertainers as a whole tend to often be much more progressive than their time. Like gay people in media during the 80s and 90s. Sure, the portrayal of gay people back then may be offensive and stereotypical from our modern perspective but just the fact that most writers and authors included them at all and didn't portray their sexuality as inherently bad was still a very positive thing at the time.
I think the same applies to this world... The authors, writers, comedians and artists are the ones who will be the MOST likely to support Elvish liberation!

Having issues running this on linux. When I try to download through the app, it says that the game file isn't a valid zip file, and when I try to download outside of it, it creates an error log saying the file "v13.rpi" is missing. Anyone else had this problem and managed to fix it?

Finally decided to make an account to comment lol. Runey I absolute adore this game. The story is fantastic and very well written, the scenes are very well done, and character development is fantastic. I love every single character (especially the android) and can't wait to see what else you add to the story. I was very happy and sad with the last few parts of the android story, cannot wait for more. Keep up the great work!

I don't have much to go on, but I can assume you merged your files? When updating the game, simply download, install, launch, and load.

That sounds about right, I'm not sure why your game is breaking. Perhaps it needs to be redownloaded.

I can prevent samsung from updating using netguard and blocking internet access to the settings app and the system update apps

I think there's an issue that locks the Event pictures again when you got them in v0.13.1 and then load the save in v0.13.2.

I already finished everyone's story in the hotel bro, I collected all the achievements except Maria's face sitting achievement. I've been searching everywhere from doing exhibitions to doing something and in the dungeon but I just can't find it.
If you finished her story then it should be an option in her room

I think you had refused her offer when the event trigger and that explains why you were locked and been able to finish her story.
If you had chosen option 2 ( you look delicious ) or option 1 - option 1 you can trigger the event.

The story is fantastic and very well written, the scenes are very well done, and character development is fantastic. I love every single character (especially the android) and can't wait to see what else you add to the story. I was very happy and sad with the last few parts of the android story, cannot wait for more. Keep up the great work!
