i recently realized something, that in order to get the good ending in the game of the Echo series you often need to give your love interest what they NEED not what they WANT. spoliers for Carl,Leo,Jenna and William's route:
in Carl's route you need to turn down Carl's ideia of letting James I posses him
in Leo's route you have to tell Leo that things between them are over
in Jenna's you have to disagreed with her cynic statements at least once
in William's route you need to take Nik's side over William's in the issue of the bridge
now this next part is speculation, i believe that the wrong choise when comforting William after he finds out his wife and son are in town is to tell him you think his duty to his family is noble because you are basically telling him that stayng in the closet and marring and having a family with a woman you don't love for no other reason aside that it is what society expects of him makes him vituous and i think this will lead him to choose his family over Samuel down the line
after you get out of the cave , i think telling William that theres nothing wrong with him is the wrong choise, not only is the only choise where you don't take the group picture but looking at the other options they are all about telling William not to trust his senses, in Murdoch 's route Murdoch and Ralph tell us that William is vey logical and trust his senses and that this will lead him to get to the wrong conclusions which is what i belive this choise is about
Well, I think it's considered to be a good ending is due to the fact he's finally over Chase and getting the help he needs or at least working towards it.
from the TVTropes page: Chase makes peace with his ex, finds new love and escapes the town with the rest of his friends... but is still plagued by nightmares while Leo's life remains stagnant in Echo and he chooses to cut off contact with Chase entirely, although he is at least recovering from his obsession with their relationship
You can always back up the save games in the android>data>echoproject.smokeroom folder before uninstalling the old build and restore it after installing the new version ;)
May I ask something quite blunt... HOW THE FUCK DID THE STORAGE SPACE INCREASE SO MUCH???? I get it's a big game but I've seen bigger with 1/3 of this like what the hell, I don't know if it's bad compression or laziness but please don't let this go over 1gb

There's lots of backgrounds and music and sprites, and there's more coming. The only way to reduce file size is to fragment the sprites and I do not have the time or funding to do that myself, haha.

You have to extract the files from the ZIP file they come in. Winrar is usually what people use it. After downloading winrar (free), right click the game and there should be the option to "Extract" the game from the files.

You tell people to "lay low on expectations," yet you, despite "spoiler warnings" (which is technically not spoiler if not officiated by the devs; thus, borderline fanfiction) constantly project onto other people your expectations regardless of how low it is. Honestly, I don't feel anything about Nik's route, like I can't seem to connect on an emotional level as I did for Will, Cliff, and Murdoch. Maybe reading the dialogue with Yao felt...forced (using big words) and artificial (monotone) to compensate for a lack of fluency in English while Nik takes a back seat, a third wheel, in character and plot development; to me, it feels more like Yao's route than Nik's route what with the amount of screentime they get, more and less, respectively.
In a sense it’s true but the next public update should be Niks and it’s very exited to see more. I don’t know what’s in the update so I do hope Nik does get more screen time
Nik's is one of the shortest routes currently but will have the largest update on the patreon today. It also changed writers, abruptly, so there's a lot of setup I had to do to establish its direction. But there is a lot more Nik in Nik route coming, don't worry.
His whole route is more or less about echo's working class, so it will have a lot of characters in it before the end beyond just Nik or Yao.
the reason i have a good feeling towards William's route is because it's the only route where Sam, Nik, Cliff, William and Murdoch are all in good terms with each other and with exception of Cliff all know about Sam's secret so if any route has the most potencial for a happy ending ala Jenna's route is this one.

Has anyone been on Echo utah?,the place is a hell of a ghost town over 49 people live there also the founder of the place is james bromely but in this game version is james hendricks and the first business building at echo utah is makes since the saloons and brothels somehow before echoproject or..... forgot their old name ,found echo utah (not populated small town) decides to start making it a furry visual novel awesome! Tho......just a big fan of dis VN and decides to study the real echo

As for my belief that the Pueblo mentioned refers to Pueblo, Colorado -- Colorado is near Utah and Chase certainly could have gone to college in Colorado.
And remember -- TJ went to a Christian university named "CCU" -- and there is a college named Colorado Christian University. So, I believe Chase, Jenna, TJ and Carl went to college in Colorado.

The Development Log doesn't show a consistent track-record of dates. The game gets updated whenever Team Echo feels ready to push updates. No need to be condescending with your "do some basic math".
As I said before, Team Echo updates the game whenever they feel it ready. A "rough average" does not play out here, because since 2021, updates took 1.5 -2 months to be here, while in 2020, they took ~1 month each (with the exception of 1).
So, your "rough average" is between 1 month (at best) to 2 months (at worst), which is a long time in between anyway.
according with The Echo Project Wiki Cliff and Nikolai are from the Echo Universe equivalent of the Netherlands and Poland respectively, but there weren't any links to official sources, Batavia being EchoNetherlands makes sense, Cliff speakes Dutch, he mentions the country being flat and the real life region of Batavia is in the Netherlands, but the only evidence that could find that Lakhia is EchoPoland is that Nik mentions that Lakhia is in Eastern Europe, so is Lakhia Poland or is this a case of wiki vandalism?

If i am not mistaken the pictures of locations are supposed to be without cast because their spirits are just insert into those backgrounds.

1. Yagami means "night god" in Japanese, fitting for the theme.

2015 echo was based a mix of echo utah and Nothing arizona.
1915 echo is based more on those plus El Cerro Gordo California.
