Why Should (You) Join?

Have you ever released a 50 hour long RPG epic? I sure haven't! This game jam removes the lofty ambitions often associated with making an RPG. In this jam, you will only have until THURSDAY, APRIL 8TH to make an RPG, so thinking small and simple is highly encouraged, and even necessary. 

What do (You) get for joining?

The satisfaction of creating and releasing a completed game, which will then be played by at LEAST one person (me) but very likely others, too! Just look at all the cool entries from the previous jams:

Rules

You must use any version of RPG Maker. Other than that, go nuts.

Theme and Guidelines

The main goal is to submit a completed game by THURSDAY, APRIL 8TH.  In keeping with the previous themes of Damsel In Distress and Chosen One, the theme this time is Dark Lord. What that means is up to you! Because the total time for this project is fairly short, here are some recommendations (which are mostly unchanged from the previous jam):

• Theme: Dark Lord
• Map: 1 Town, 2 Dungeons
• Battle: 2 bosses, 6 common enemies
• Party: 2-4 player characters
• Assets: all assets are okay.
• Plugins: Try to stick to around 3 or so.

Feel free to disregard these if you think that your work will be better for it, but try not to spend too much time browsing resources and plugins!

Remember to take it easy, enjoy the process, and jam away!
