This jam is now over. It ran from 2021-09-25 19:00:00 to 2021-09-26 19:00:00.

Sacramento Developer Collective would like to present our next Game Jam! Now that we've got our monthly Game Jam series, here's our #WorldDreamJam for this Sept 25th, 2021!

World Dream Day is a day of inspiration, reflection, and celebration. We'd like to observe this day where we open up people's chances to share your dream or vision of what positive things you would like to see happen in your community. You can share your dream in the form of a narrative design, music soundtracks, or anything into a game asset or game!

If you have a dream of working in a particular profession or hobby, take the first step to make it happen. Maybe you aspire to write a story-driven game or a video game soundtrack some day. World Dream Day is a great day to write the first chapter! No matter how you choose to observe it, share it on social media with #WorldDreamDay and #WorldDreamJam

This game jam will be 24 hours long and we look forward to seeing what you guys end up making :)

Some of the core functionalities of every game has: programming, art, audio, and/or design. Some games don’t need all of them, which is still just as doable, like tabletop games that don’t need code or audio.

What if I never made a game before?

Sometimes trying to even start a game is the hardest (and best!) part!

A good way to get started is to follow a tutorial to get a jumpstart and after that, you can add all the other elements to really make it your own creation!
