This game jam is specificly targeted at text-based games. This means that it uses no graphics and you'll only be using text in the entire game. You can use the windows terminal or you can use a window to make your own terminal but you may not have any graphics besides text.

This jam is targeted towards any kind of programmer, you can be right out of the box and just learned how to use the print statement in python or you can be an advanced professional who has been coding for years and who wants to see how they'll do. Everything is alright.

You can make an interactive story based game, a text adventure game or a small RPG. It really doesn't matter.
