Wordle-like games are a huge part of many people's daily lives, and there's a great number of wordle-likes out there that have got incredibly creative with the genre. These games are built around a fun mix of guessing and deduction, to use a limited number of guesses to work your way to the correct result. We want to see what you can do! The goal of this jam is to create a wordle-like game (details in the RULES section), share it with everyone else, and vote on the best wordle-like across a number of categories (with prizes available!!)
A few examples to get you thinking -
MCdle ( https://www.mcdle.net/en_gb ) is a great example of taking things from minecraft and creating a guessing, wordle-like game out of it.
Bandle ( https://bandle.app/menu ), similarly is a musical spin on the wordle-like genre.
JEFFGOLDBLUMLE ( https://jeffgoldblumle.com/ ) is a humorous take on the concept! (You can work this one out yourself)

1. Your submission must be a wordle-like game, therefore it must meet the following criteria:
- You must have a limited number of guesses to reach the final answer.
- There must be 1 final answer.
- Most wordle-likes operate on a daily cycle (1 game a day), this is not required for this game jam. It is up to you if you want to include multiple games, or just one game for us to play.
2. No AI, no NSFW.

Your submissions will be judged by each other on the following categories:
- Creativity (within the wordle-like genre, i.e how unique or clever is the concept)
- Challenge (the puzzles should be tough, but still solvable through deduction)
- Visuals
Prizes are as follows:
1st - $50
2nd - $30
3rd - $20
An additional "Judge's choice" will be awarded of $30.

1. Is there an additional theme for this jam? - No, we want you guys to be as creative as possible with this jam. Adding an additional theme doesn't really work with a wordle-like game jam.
2. Can I work on my project before the jam starts? - Yep, the jam period is really for submissions, since the bulk of the work on these types of games really are the ideas rather than the coding. Just make sure your finished project is submitted during the jam period.
3. Can we work in teams? - Yes, when submitting please only enter 1 discord name, and if you win that person will be responsible for handling splitting the prize.
