Are you a student looking for something to do over winter break? This is the jam for you. You have three weeks over winter break to create a game based around a secret theme or themes. The themes for the jam will be revealed at the start of the jam.
This jam is not ranked or judged. The goal of the jam is experience, practice and learning game development. If you create and submit a game, you are a winner of this jam.
This game jam is targeted at high school and college students, but is open to anyone currently enrolled in a school, university or homeschool program.
You must use at least one of the themes in your game, and you're welcome to use multiple if you would like.
The themes will be revealed on this page and the Discord server at the start of the jam.
You can use any game engine you like as long as it can export a web version of the game.
Teams are allowed and encouraged. Team work is a good skill to have.
You may use AI as reference or to help you problem solve but you can’t use it to create your game. This includes generating ideas, code, or assets.
You may use assets not created by you as long as that is allowed by the license of the assets and you properly credit the creator.
You may use assets or code created by you in the past. But the majority of the game should be created during the jam.
Need help, advice or looking for people to work with? Join the Discord server. Reminders and announcements will be put here, along with the themes, which will also be added to this page at the start of the jam.
Now go checkout other games that were submitted, and check back on yours for any feedback left by others, for ways to improve your game.
If anything isn’t covered here, ask on the Discord server on in the community section of this page.
