Library Jam

Rather then getting assigned a theme, we're asking you to go find a book, read it, then design a game based on or inspired by the book you are reading. It could be Fiction or Non-Fiction. Science Fiction or a science textbook. Go to the library and find something that interests you, then base a game on it.

It could be a Romance novel, Ancient History, Art, Space Travel, Existentialism or Einstein. You have some time to prepare so dig through those old books you haven't read in a while and see what you can find! If you're feeling Hardcore you can do Hardcore mode and just pick a book out of a bag at the event!

Ludum Dare 36

The Winnipeg Game Collective is pleased to present the LD 36 Winnipeg event. It will be hosted at ACI Manitoba located downtown at 245 McDermot in the large classroom located on the 4th floor. For $10 (collectable at the event), you can make games in a friendly, helpful environment surrounded by your peers, as well, it will help ensure that we can continue to run events like this for the community in the future.

Ludum Dare is an online community best known for "Ludum Dare", the Accelerated Game Development Event of the same name (also called a "Game Jam"). During a Ludum Dare, developers from around the world spend a weekend creating games based on a theme suggested by the community.
