Are you a current or aspiring designer of narrative games? Do you love the characters and setting of Winnie the Pooh?  Are you tired of releasing your games, getting some encouraging downloads, but not getting enough feedback?

Then the Winnie the Pooh TTRPG jam is waiting for your submission!

A. A. Milne’s first book to feature these beloved characters has just entered the Public Domain. And what better way to celebrate that then by helping role-players experience their world first hand through role-play.

So now through June 30th, 2022 I’m running the Winnie-the-Pooh TTRPG jam! After the jam is complete, I’ll make a video overview of as many of the entries as I possibly can. I make highlight videos for some of my favorite entries. And I’ll publish an Actual Play session of any entry that really speaks and lends itself well to that kind of thing. All of that will be published on the Instadeath Survivors Support Group Youtube channel.

This is an opportunity to make a game/supplement with beloved characters, and to possibly see your game in action, being played by a passionate role-player.

Rules for Submission:

  1. Submissions must be tabletop roleplaying related. Please no video games.
  2. Submissions must be relevant to the Winnie the Pooh characters or world.
  3. Do not infringe on copyright. It’s your responsibility to determine what is and is not public domain and within your rights to use.
  4. Multiple submissions are encouraged.
  5. Be respectful to the spirit of Winnie the Pooh and its beloved children’s story characters.
  6. Games can be released as free, PWYW, or with a price tag. If you're charging for the game, please send me a copy so I can review for content which breaks the rules, and consider adding community copies.
  7. Label explicit or graphic content. Consider using or referencing safety tools, such as the X card.
  8. No hate speech or bigotry. Nothing that breaks itch.io ToS or local law. Be cool.

Here are some things I’d love to see:

  • Solo journaling games. A Wretched & Alone game, a Lost & Found game, an Alone Among the Stars Hack, A Second Guess game.
  • Other Solo Games/Supplements: An Ironsworn hack, Oracles, Random Tables
  • Narrative Games/Supplements: Belonging Outside Belonging Setting Elements, PBTA game with character playbooks.
  • Branching Narratives: A Winnie the Pooh gamebook
  • Rich Settings: Hundred acre wood map, 100 acre woods hex crawl in the style of Neverland or Hot Springs Island
  • Kid friendly rules and content: simple rules, physical/visual elements to keep a child’s attention engaged, and an appropriate vibe and subject matter
  • Multiple designers collaborating. Maybe one of you publishes a core set of PBTA style rules, and another publishes character playbooks, and another publishes BOB style setting elements, and another publishes rich oracles to support solo play, and they all work beautifully together.

Let’s make the jam community threads active, let us know what you are working on, and if you are open to collaboration. And lets help role-players create fantastic new stories in the world of Winnie the Pooh and the Hundred acre wood
