We're back with the Wholesome Games Jam, a 48 hour Game Jam starting March 19th 0:00 GMT. This year is extra special as we're celebrating the 3rd anniversary of Wholesome Games! It's a pretty low-key jam without competition element so you can focus on having fun and making new connections.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?

• Anyone can join of any skill level as long as you're a member of the  Wholesome Games Discord server. 
• Get yourself a 🍯 Game jam role in our #🌈label-me-this channel to get access to ALL of the game jam channels, including ones that will help you find a team.
• Read the #jam-info channel thoroughly
  
• You can join in teams of 2-6 people. No solo teams are allowed.
• There are other ways to participate if you have little time or this is your first jam! You can read all about that in our #jam-info channel
• You can press the "Join jam" button above to let us know you're interested in joining, but it's not mandatory. 
• Every team must be registered through our #teams channel on the Discord server.

🗳️ WHAT ABOUT THE THEME?

These last two years were not easy to any of us, and it was relief for many to have this little internet corner to chill in. It was lovely to see it grow, to be a part of the home of wonderful individuals. It hasn't always been just great times but it is with supporting each other we carry through! With that in mind, the theme choice was an obvious one: COMMUNITY. Now lets get those brain engines started!

📤 THE SUBMISSION PROCESS

You can submit your game until the deadline stated on this Jam page. You can read more about the itch.io submission process here.

If you want your game to be included on our submissions page, please meet the following requirements:

• All team members are part of the Wholesome Games Discord server
• You have registered your team through our #teams channel on Discord
• Your game / team meets our Jam and Discord community guidelines
• Your game fits within a community that highlights comfort, compassion and coziness. If you're unsure whether your content is suitable, please contact server staff.

Once the Game Jam has ended, we'll share the collection on Social media. Don't forget to post the link to your game submission in our #jam-submissions channel!

📜 RULES & GUIDELINES

• You don't have to utilize the full 48 hours. Be mindful of your health and discuss this with your team.
• This is a community event, so please don't include people from outside the Discord server in your team.
• Please follow the server rules stated in our #welcome channel and keep things PG13.
• If you want to use any third party assets make sure you have permission and or credit the original creator.
• Credit must also be given on the game submission page to every team member.
• NFT's and Crypto-related games will be removed from our Discord and Jam page
