We've teamed up with Core Games to host our first Game Jam on Core

Event Details

Compete for $3,000 in prizes with the very first WhereisMyShirt Core Games Challenge! In this challenge, you will have 2 weeks to create a game using the Core Games platform.

Theme: Lost in Space

Whether you’re stuck on the moon or defending against an alien invasion, the ball is in your court. Using the tools provided within the Core Games platform, build a functional game with environment, interactiveness, and creativity in mind!

Best Interactive Experience ($200): Timmay with 'Clash at Orion' (Overall score of 72 out of 100)

Best Visuals ($200): LittleCreator with 'Launch Animation Scene' (Overall score of 60 out of 100)

Eligibility

Anyone is welcome to join.  Compete as a solo developer or on a team. 

Getting Started

  1. Download Core for free
  2. Join the WhereisMyShirt Discord server
  3. Make and publish a game based on the theme
  4.  Link your submission in the submissions channel within our Discord server!

Judging

Judging will be based on the creative interpretation of the theme (0-35 points), the aesthetic appeal of the scene (0-35 points), and any included functionality/gameplay (0-30 points).

Challenge Rules

To qualify your game as part of the jam, you and your team must follow these rules: 

  • Submissions must be created in Core; submit a link to your published game as your submission in our Discord server.
  • Modifications of pre-existing games are not allowed.
  • The game project must be started and fully completed within the Game Jam's designated period, from 12 am EST June 17th to 12 am EST July 8th

FAQ

How are payments made out to the winners?

A: Payments will be made through Tipalti (the same program Roblox uses for DevEx). If you are under the age of 18 years old, you will have to have your parent's permission before you can receive your payment if you win.

How do I submit my game?

A: You can link your submission to the Game Jam using the submissions channel. Be sure to follow the instructions and to include all the necessary information.

How is the $3,000 divided between the winners?

A: There will be a total of 6 cash prize winners. You can see how that’s broken down above.

Can I submit multiple games?

A: Yes, you can submit multiple entries!

Do I need to be part of a team to participate?

A: No, you can compete either as a solo developer or on a team.
