Design Your Own Wheel Game!

Grasping Nettles was released just over a year ago, and I decided to follow in the storied tradition of hosting a game jam on itch to celebrate!

The Rules
  1. Submissions can be anything that uses a rondel. I didn't invent the Rondel, of course, it's been in board games for ages.
  2. If you want, your submission can take any level of inspiration from Grasping Nettles. You can make a new game, a new wheel for the original game, Quick Nettles, or really anything else you can think of
  3. Feel free to submit anything you've made in the past, or a whole new one instead
  4. If your entry is related to Grasping Nettles, here's the licensing info that you can also find in the Grasping Nettles Game Design Guide
    1. If your product declares compatibility with Grasping
Nettles, state the following in your legal text and on any websites from which a commercial product is sold: “[product name] is compatible with Grasping Nettles, but is an independent production by [publisher name] and is not affiliated with Adam Bell or "adamebell.games.”
    2. If your product is based on the mechanics of Grasping Nettles, state the following in your legal text and on any websites from which a commercial product is sold: “[product name] is based on Grasping Nettles, but is an independent production by [publisher name] and is not affiliated with Adam Bell or adamebell.games.”
  5. I'll ban & remove any entries with hate speech, bigotry, or anything else worthy of censure.
Ideas

The Grasping Nettles Game Design Guide has thoughts on ways you can hack the  game, as well as tips on how to write some Quick Nettles of your own. The sky's the limit! Make a whole new game, modify its course of play like I did with Nettles 23, or bring in a new community or even the world from your other games as a Quick Nettle.

Or you can come up with a whole new way to integrate a rondel into a roleplaying game. I'd love to see that! I'm a big advocate of taking inspiration from board games for our RPGs, so use this jam to do that!
