WELCOME TO WE BE JAMMIN #7

After a brief jam hiatus, we’re officially kicking off Season Two of We Be Jammin — and we’re coming back strong.

We Be Jammin #7 marks the first jam of our second season. Whether you’re a returning developer or joining us for the first time, this jam is about building, learning, and growing together as creators.

This community has consistently shown up with creativity, experimentation, and effort — and Season Two is about doubling down on that momentum.

THEME
CONNECTIONS

This theme is intentionally wide open. Connections can be literal or abstract. They can be mechanical, narrative, systemic, emotional, or visual. They can be formed, broken, tested, strengthened, or misunderstood.

It might be about:

• People, systems, worlds, or ideas

• Cause and effect

• Cooperation, dependency, or isolation

• Links that matter or links that shouldn’t exist at all

There’s no single “right” interpretation here. Follow the thread that interests you and see where it leads.

SCORING CATEGORIES

Game Loop
How engaging and functional is the core gameplay loop?
This looks at whether the main actions are clear, repeatable, and satisfying. A strong loop makes the player want to keep playing, even with minimal content.

Theme Interpretation
How creatively and effectively is the theme incorporated into the game?
This focuses on how the theme is expressed — mechanically, narratively, visually, or conceptually. Literal or abstract interpretations are both valid if they are intentional and well executed.

Original Concept
How unique does the game feel as an idea?
This evaluates the core concept itself: the premise, mechanics, or combination of ideas. Familiar genres are welcome, but standout entries bring a fresh twist, perspective, or execution.

Technical Execution
How well does the game function from a technical standpoint?
This includes stability, controls, clarity, and overall implementation. The game does not need to be complex — it just needs to work reliably and feel intentional.
