The Wasted Resources game jam will run from December  28 2021 to January 24 2022

Theme : Don't Waste (y)our Energy

This can be all forms for energy even human energy. The point of the jam is to show massive waste or minimal waste of the resource Energy

 You will have about a month to make a game.

We wanted to make a game jam that sharpens the awareness of how we use and waste our limited resources.

The more games and people we have involved in this game jam the louder our voice will be!

We hope your game and this game jam will inspire people to think about the way that they use resources. 

How may times have you played a video game and thought maybe I should do things different in my life?

This is your chance to inspire! 

Treat people with respect 

You can make the game on your own or in a team of up to 4 people. 

You can find other people to team up with on our Discord.

or use any social media network  to share your game! Please use #WastedResources in any posts.

All game engines are allowed!

Games that are NSFW are NOT ALLOWED.

You ARE allowed to use assets that you own.

Submissions must be free to play at least until voting ends!

At the end of the jam, everyone rates everyone else's games to decide the winner. Games are rated on categories:

Overall - your overall rating, the feel of the gameplay and how fun it was to play!

Theme Relevancy - how the game used the theme that was picked. The more your  game embraces the theme the more points it will get.

Environmental Awareness- highlight environmental problems or solutions

Creativity- the more different, weird and suppressing the ideas the better

Bonus points:

Graphics - how nice the game looks - this includes particle effects and anything related to the appearance of the game.

Audio - how nice the game sounds, whether with music or sound effects

We are all winners if we can slow down resources being wasted.
