WALDORF GAME JAM INFORMATION:

The theme of the game jam is: “Out of Luck”

This theme can be interpreted in any way, as long as it is clear it was interpreted from the theme. Games will be marked on how well the theme is incorporated into them.

You can make a card, board, video or other kind of game

Games can come in any medium, as long as it can be played with around 2-4 players. Suggested formats are board games, like Monopoly, card games like Magic: the Gathering, or video games such as Super Mario Bros. Other games could include an outdoor game such as chasey, a roleplaying game such as D&D or a social game such as Mafia. The game must have clear rules, be designed well, and has to be an original take on the theme.

Submissions

The games are due Friday the 18th of September, at 3:30 to the IRC. The games must be accompanied by the submission form. The games can also be handed to Alex at lunchtime in the Library. Late submissions will not be marked, and will not be in the running for the voucher.  All games should come with clear and concise rules, as the judges must be able to figure out how to play.

Rubric

The game will be marked by the judges over the weekend, per the rubric below. The game with the highest points wins. On a draw, it will be down to the judges personal preferences.
