Voice snippets can be the simplest way to add a sprinkle of voice acting without the hassle of having to create a cumbersome script for a specific voice over! It gives the player an idea of what your character sounds like without taking away their own interpretation of how a line is read. It's that perfect in between of having an assigned vocal to each character and still allowing the player to imagine what it sounds in their heads! It's also less work for devs to implement, since you just sprinkle it around like any other SFX!

So whether you're an aspiring or seasoned voice actor looking for an excuse to get in front of the mic, a dev looking to add a little extra life to their characters, or maybe you're both??? This is the perfect jam for you! To submit packs as a voice actor, or to discover packs to use in your next project as a dev! Voting is also implemented to encourage everyone to check out the submitted voice packs! 

All voice actors welcome, seasoned or amateur, hobbyist or professional, new and old!

What to do in this jam & rules:

• Submit a new voice pack (specifically made for this jam) with individually recorded lines such as greetings, specific sentences, pain noises, coughs, screams, crying, laughing, etc etc. Make them as generic or specific as you see fit! Voice packs can be general, themed, or anywhere in between!
• Be sure to have a decently clear mic, audio quality will be voted on!
• In the zip file txt and on the asset's front page, be sure to specify your terms of use! Can your sets be used in commercial projects or only non-commercial projects? Do you have certain prohibitions? You set the terms for how your voice can be used! Be it very specific handcrafted terms or simply slapping a Creative Commons license onto it!
• Recommended - in your terms, be sure to include a disclaimer that you, the voice actor, are not responsible for the content the user creates using your asset, and that the user is solely responsible for the content they make. No one can control who uses their assets for what, no matter how specific your terms are, so always make it clear that you cannot be held responsible for how a user may use your assets. It's impossible to see every project your stuff may be used in anyway xD
• Assets should be freely available during the jam period! So make sure you either set it to be free or pay what you want. If you want to charge for it or include a premium version after the jam is over, you're free to do so!
• Prohibited: Severe swearing and sexually explicit voice recordings. Keep things PG-13! Light swearing and sexy tones are fine!
• To all voters and submitters, be sure to be respectful to each other! Be constructive with your criticisms, and never forget to highlight positive attributes, not just negative, on one's voice pack! Help each other out, not break each other down, and most of all... please have fun!

Voting criteria:

• Acting Quality - How the user thought of the voice pack's acting quality!
• Audio Quality - How the user thought of the voice pack's audio quality!
• How did you enjoy this voice pack? - How the user personally enjoyed this voice pack!

Voting will be open to everyone, and a voting queue is enacted! This means you will be given a random set of 5 entries to vote on, and after you have voted on 2, you may submit votes to any specific packs you want! This is not only to level the playing field so all packs can get a chance, but to hopefully help you discover some new talent you may not have stumbled upon otherwise!
