RULES:
1. Game MUST be original

2. It must be based off a franchise (ex. are McDonalds, Walmart, Amazon, etc.) or a fake franchise.

3. At least two characters need to be included

4. It cannot be over an hours playthrough in total (this does not include deaths or mistakes on the players part. This means that without any mistakes or deaths, if included, the game must take an hour to complete the story and gameplay

5. It must include the VHS camera effect or style (ex of the style, but not camera effect, would be Blair Witch, in which the camera was a key element in gameplay.) Another way to do this is to make the game seem purposefully old. See examples.

6. If any assets are not you're own, then credit them somewhere.

Primary Criteria: Atmosphere and not video effects/ elements because that only really applies to games in that Blair Witch style camera gameplay unless a game makes the video effects say no signal or other effects, like in the challenges.

Challenges:

1. Have multiple endings

2. Have it be a hiding game, with no weapons or defenses

3. Have the game be scary without a lose scenario

4. Have an extras screen with models and other assets used

5. Have the camera or effect sometimes show a no signal effect or have a random old ad pop-up to block what's happening or things like that.

FAQ:

• Do I have to use an engine like Unity or Unreal?
• No, you can use any engine that you prefer as long as all rules are followed

• Does the game have a time limit?
• No, but it cannot be immediate death and that's the game. There must be a plot of some kind and at least 3 actual gameplay elements, like you chop a log, burn it, make your bed, go to sleep, and die

• Is NSFW allowed?
• You can have almost anything in your game except sex/ sexual things. If there is someone nude, as long as the most explicit parts are blurred or covered, it is ok.

• Can I start making the game?
• No, but you can plan out ideas for it as long as you don't implement them into the game. For example, writing the story for the and thinking of how an enemy would look is fine, as long as those things will not be used as assets. In simple terms, if you make it, you can't directly implement it. 

• Is there a prize?
• Your game and the fun!

• Can I work in a team?
• Yes, up to 3 for fairness.

• Can I have multiple entries?
• Yes, but up to 3 for fairness

• Do I have to be a certain skill level?
• Of course not! You just have to have fun!
