I Want Games for my Birthday!!

As it says in the title, it is my birthday (on April 22nd) and I dare YOU to make a game! This game jam is open to game designers of all experience levels. The goal of this game jam is to get people to create RPGs because I DARE YOU TO!

Breathe life to a new idea, dust off an old WIP, make something silly, go on a journey wherever your creativity leads you. 

Why Game Jam?

For my birthday, I wanted to showcase and provide a platform for people to engage with their creativity, and be challenged in a positive way. The greatest gift is witnessing folks in the throughs of creative passion.

Also, I just want to dare someone to make a game! 

Rules

1. Write an analogue role-playing game (such as TTRPG or LARP).
   1. Analogue games are games with human-facing instructions, contrasting video games with code executed by a computer.
      
2. The game has to be made within the jam period.
   1. It's fine if you have the idea before or have a WIP. Just make sure your itch.io project is created within the jam period.
3. Multiple entries are allowed.
4. It is recommended to mention RPG safety tools in the itch.io game description.
5. No AI or crypto-art! Entries containing them will be removed.
6. No hate speech or bigotry!
7. I reserve the right to remove any submissions that are against the spirit of the jam.

Theme (optional)

I welcome any game with any theme, but if you so choose, you could use this theme for inspiration: The Spirit of the Ursine

The incorporation of the theme into your game is entirely optional. It is to serve as an inspiration or a challenge to your creativity.

Post-Jam

At the end of the jam, I will be showcasing all the submissions at Otso's Tabletop Den, a special TTRPG show on my Twitch channel. Creators who are interested in / agree will be interviewed for Dicey Banter's Light Banter minisodes!
