This game jam is being hosted by the UW Tacoma Game Development Club. Our club's activities include sharing game development knowledge, discussing our interests regarding the development industry and video games, networking with other fellow creators (and occasionally some industry veterans), and holding events just like this one!
We want to see how creative you get with this game jam, and we're eager to play your finished product!

As long as your project implements all the themes in some way, you can make whatever you want!
Who can enter?
Anyone, of any age, from anywhere, (this includes students of other schools). However, the club is hosting this event as an introduction for newbies to game jams who has no experience with game jams. For that reason, we would like for any developers who is experienced in game jams to create/start a team and invite newbies to their team through our club discord preferably the #looking-for-team text channel.

What is the theme?
The theme for this game jam are spooky, time, and survival. Remember, themes can be taken both literally and figuratively, if you want to make a game with time travel? What about a game where you stop time and steal candy from innocent kids? Anything is possible! :>
What can I make my game in?
Anything, provided you can upload a file that runs on Windows or browsers. This includes (but not limited to), Unity, Game Maker Studios, Scratch, Unreal Engine, Godot, RPG Maker and many more! You could even (if you're feeling adventurous) use the UWT Game Dev C++ Engine!
What assets can I use?
The game should be developed during the jam, but you may use some pre-existing code and you can use whatever art and audio assets you have the legal right to use. (This includes those from marketplaces like the Unity Asset Store, or even freebies like those from Open Game Art!
Who will judge the games?
Games will be judged by the public, mainly you, the creators. Don't want to be judged? No problem! Just let us know and you can be exempt from judging! Our goal is to make better developers, not to discourage those who are new!
What will the games be judged on?
Games will be ranked against the following criteria: Theme, Gameplay, Concept, Sound, and Art/Design/Graphics .
