Rules

1) Be respectful to everyone

This includes:
-No racist, sexist, homophobic, or transphobic content.
-No discriminating or degrading content.
-No flaming, badgering, trolling, or instigating conflict.

2) No NSFW content

This includes ecchi or suggestive content as well.

3) All submissions must have a team

This means a team of no less than 2 and no more than 6 developers.

4) All participants must be local

This means anyone participating must be enrolled at the University of Washington Bothell or Cascadia College

Criteria

Due to the nature of Spring Quarter, we will not have a criteria this quarter for people to follow. Games will be presented at our showcase but they will not be ranked.

FAQ

Q: What are Game-Jams?
A: Game-Jams are events where people can get together to make a game within an allotted time. For us, this means the majority of the school quarter.

Q: What do I need to do to join?
A: 1. Join our discord discord.gg/2YSuWjj
2. Find someone else to help you make this game (team sizes are a minimum of 2, maximum of 6 people)
3. Have everyone in your team hit the join button on this page!

Q: How do I find a team/team member?
A: We have a #recruitment-board channel on our discord where you can post that you're looking for a team, or a team-member. You can also just invite a friend to work with you on a game, just make sure they also joined the jam.

Q: I'm new and I don't have much experience making games, can I still participate?
A: Yes! However, because we're not a class, (and because we're relatively new), we don't have the resources or time to teach you everything about game development. We strongly encourage you to self-teach yourself some game development basics. We have a growing list of resources for you to look through on game development, located in the #resources channel on our discord. We'll also be hosting weekly workshops at UWB on game development topics. Check in with the discord to get updates on these workshops.

Q: How and when will our submission be judged?
A: We'll be hosting a showcase at the end of the quarter May 29th. The showcase date is relatively fluid, so it's possible we may change it. However, we'll do our best to keep the schedule consistent.
