Event Overview
Join us for an exciting, collaborative, and competitive game jam that brings together talented students from eight prestigious universities around the globe! This event is a unique opportunity to connect, create, and showcase your game development skills on an international stage.
Important Dates
- Registration Deadline: September 5, 2024
- Theme Announcement: September 6, 2024
- Game Jam Period: September 6 - September 13, 2024
- Submission Deadline: September 13, 2024, 17:00 PM (GMT+3)
- Judging Period: September 14 - September 20, 2024, 17:00 PM (GMT+3)
- Winners Announcement: September 20, 2024, time TBA
Participation Details
- Who Can Join?
Current students from the participating universities.
- Teams:
Form teams of 3-5 members. Teams are encouraged to have diverse roles such as programmer, artist, designer, and sound designer, but this is not mandatory. However, it is mandatory to have at least one member from a university other than your own. In case you need help finding a member from other universities, contact us and we will help you. There is also a text channel called โ searching-for-teams that may be helpful.
- Theme:
The theme will be revealed on September 6, 2024, to ensure everyone starts with the same inspiration!
Submission Guidelines
- Platform:
Submissions must be made through itch.io.
- Format:
Upload your game as a playable file (Windows, macOS, or web-based) along with a short description, screenshots, and a gameplay video (optional but recommended).
- Assets:
You are encouraged to create original assets during the jam, but third-party assets are allowed as long as they are credited properly.
Judging Criteria
Games will be judged by the participants based on the following criteria:
- Originality: How unique and creative the game concept is.
- Adherence to Theme: How well the game adheres to the announced theme.
- Gameplay: The fun factor and engagement of the game.
- Art and Sound: The quality and cohesiveness of the visual and audio elements.
- Technical Achievement: The complexity and execution of the technical aspects.
Prizes
- Awards: Each university is responsible for awarding their own participants.
- Recognition: All participants will receive certificates of participation.
