Union-Made Game Jam is a month long game making event for members of UVW-CWA and friends, where individuals and teams try to make a game in a limited period of time.
We'll be making some bite-sized, union-themed games. We hope you'll participate!
The 2027 jam's optional theme will be announced at the start of the jam
A game jam is an event where developers make an entire game during a limited period of time.
United Videogame Workers-CWA (UVW-CWA) is a dues-collecting direct-join organization made of, by, and for workers of the video game industry. We are a local of the Communications Workers of America (CWA). Our mission is to democratically represent the interests of video game workers across the U.S. and Canada, and to fight for our rights in the video game industry.
This jam is primarily a fun activity for members of UVW and friends. If you are not a member of UVW and want to submit something for fun or in solidarity you are welcome to! If you are a videogame worker who is interested in becoming a member of UVW you can do so here!
This game jam will begin on Jan 01st - 9AM PT and end on Jan 31st - 11:59PM PT. All jam submissions should be submitted before the jam ends on Jan 31st

Project descriptions must include the phrase “Made for Union Made Jam”

Jam submissions should incorporate the theme in some way, whether that is a large or small part of your jam submission is up to you! Feel free to interpret the theme creatively!
Brainstorming, planning, and outlining before the jam starts is completely fine! However, actual game assets should be created within the jam timeframe.

There are no restrictions on which game engine you can use
