This game jam is dedicated to getting more of a game dev presence at UIC by getting anyone interested in making video games involved! Games are one of the most versatile forms of creative expression, and everyone interested should try to make something!
We want to stress that anyone interested at all should make something whether you finish your project or not doesn't matter! Just do your best and submit! That's how you get started :)
Theme
The theme is "Parts". Adhering to the theme isn’t required but is encouraged! Themes help give participants a starting point and add constraint, helping scope the game for the time limit.
Additionally, this game jam is spooky-themed, so feel free to draw from that if you want to!
Rules
- No hate of any kind.
- What you submit should be made by you.
- Yes you can continue old projects, but the majority of the work should be done during the jam!
- Teams can be from 1–3 people.
- You cant win prizes if you're not a UIC student but you can still participate!! (Please participate)

What is the theme for this jam?
This jam has no strict theme but is horror-related. Your game can be about anything — we just want people making games!
Do I have to use the theme?
Nope! Your game can be about anything — we just want people making games! Themes will not count towards judging.
Can I use AI?
Please don’t! Help with code is understandable, but any use of AI-generated music, art, or other creative material will result in disqualification. Who cares if you "can’t draw"? Some of the best games have the "worst" art — all we ask is that you try your best!
