This Game Jam is brought to you by the UCM  Game Development Club, partnering with the UCM Psychology Department.

By participating in the global game jam, we hope to raise the community’s awareness of the pedagogy & virtual environment creation work happening at UC Merced. This event will be one more way UC Merced is working to expand access to education and innovation is our local community. 

The hope is to inspire young up-and-coming game creators to think differently about gaming – realizing the potential use of gaming to seriously & meaningfully impact the health and mental health industries.  

The plan is to hold the game jam on UC Merced’s campus. All eligible are welcome to participate, especially those from local high schools, community colleges, and nearby California State Universities.

Presentations will also be delivered by faculty & affiliates working in virtual reality creation.

The Jam theme will be announced here when the jam starts.

DETAILS

Anyone ages 16 and over can Participate. Participants ages 16 and 17 need to bring a signed waiver at the start of event.

Access to food in close vicinity. Food, drinks and snacks provided on site. 

Access to technology, inducing power strips, Wi-Fi access, and video conferencing is available. Bring your own computer!
