Diversifiers

Diversifiers are voluntary secondary constraints that individual teams can choose to add to their game for an additional challenge. If you implement any of these diversifiers in your game, please mention them in your game's description.

  • That sounds different - Your game's music is a genre not commonly associated with games. (e.g. Zydeco, Bluegrass, Ska, Mambo, etc.)
  • Foley - Your music is sung by the team and your sound effects are vocalized by your team.
  • Fixed it in post - Your game uses the engine's post-processing to improve its visuals (Unity, Unreal, Godot).
  • Shady - Your game uses a custom shader created by your team. (11-hour video series, Unity, Unreal, Godot)
  • Expanding the vocabulary - Your game gives the player access to verbs or actions that aren't common in most games. (e.g. many games have a jump button or a shoot button, but not a hug button or a think button. What uncommon actions can you think of that fit the theme?)

How do I submit?

Judging will begin on Discord and in the theater at 5:30 pm on Sunday, May 28th. Upload your build to this jam page and be prepared to present your game on Discord. Awards will follow immediately after judging.
