Forbidden Knowledge

Some things are not meant to be known! This month we're exploring dangerous secrets, forbidden texts, and knowledge that comes with a terrible price. From ancient grimoires to sanity-shattering revelations, wisdom can be a curse.

What We're Looking For:

Adventures: Protecting dangerous knowledge, stopping cultists seeking forbidden truths, or surviving horrifying revelations

NPCs: Mad scholars, knowledge seekers, protective librarians, or those driven insane by truth

Player Options: Sanity mechanics, knowledge corruption systems, or scholar backgrounds with dark secrets

Worldbuilding: Forbidden libraries, censorship organizations, or cultures that guard dangerous truths

Monsters: Knowledge parasites, manifestations of madness, or beings that exist as pure information

Tables & Tools: Forbidden knowledge generators, sanity loss tables, or dangerous revelation systems

Something Else: Whatever wild thing you can come up with, do it!

Format Requirements:

- PDF, text document, or interactive tool

- Free or pay-what-you-want pricing during jam period

- Include "Fobidden Knowledge Jam" in your title or description

- 1-2 paragraph description of what makes your content unique

This jam is about learning and sharing, not just competition. We encourage:

- First-time creators - never made ttrpg? Perfect time to start!

- Iteration and feedback - share work-in-progress posts

- Collaborative spirit - comment on and support other submissions

- Knowledge sharing - what techniques did you discover?

Submission Categories:

Quick Secret (under 1,000 words): Dangerous knowledge, mad scholar NPCs, or cursed texts

Full Revelation (1,000-5,000 words): Complete knowledge-based adventures or detailed forbidden libraries

Keeper's Codex (any length): Knowledge mechanics, sanity systems, or truth-guarding cultures

Special Challenge: Make knowledge feel genuinely dangerous without punishing player curiosity too harshly!
