TOMATO JAM is a small, summer-specific game jam for people who want to stretch their creative muscles or try something new. 

The current theme for this game jam is THE CREATURE. 

It will run for 5 days from 6/10/2022 to 6/15/2022. It's open to anyone, from people who have a passing interest in games to seasoned professionals.

Our main goal is to encourage creativity and meet our participants where they are, so we accept anything from paper scribblings to interactive films to 3D platformers. If it could be argued to be a game surrounding the theme, we will accept it! We also accept unfinished projects.

Any game that can be argued to be around the theme is accepted, as long as it also observes the following rules... 

1. No racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism, transphobia, xenophobia, etc... period. It will not be tolerated. If your game includes heavier content, use content warnings appropriately, and include content warnings if you are asked to.
2.  You can work solo or in a team. There is no cap on team size, but know larger teams are harder to coordinate!
3. You can use external assets that the creators explicitly say you can use, with the use of credits.
4. Games for this jam can only be made during the jam duration.
5. There are no serious prizes for this jam, but we will have a night where we showcase the submissions.
