We all have learned to create games,  or just left tutorial hell. But how many of us got feedback of people who actually know how game dev can go? Here, we review our games as game devs. Get your feedback, as you need it, TLG Devs. This jam is for meaningful feedback on our games from fellow developers.

Feedback criteria:

Agency: Is the player making choices, not just reacting? Examples: Choosing when to risk a dash, picking the best route, timing to attack, ...

Clarity: Is it always obvious what to do? Can the player figure out the goal in 5 seconds? Are visuals and feedback a clear guidance?

Tension: Is something pushing back on you? Examples: Enemy starfighters, harsh resource management, puzzle logic, ...

Progression: Does the game evolve or get harder? Examples: New enemies, a key resource shutting down, less time to defuse a bomb

Graphics and looks: Does the game look/sound like you'd expect it? Does it fit the theme? Examples: The monster has slime dripping down, the coins have a nice collect animation, the player is a low poly robot in a high-detail jungle (that's bad!)

Story: Do you know why you do something and what the setting is? Examples: Your Commander tells you to raid a castle, there is an ancient book telling of the arrival of the creatures, ...

Fairness  and balancing: Is the winning condition neither too hard, nor too easy? Are your weapons capable for the amounts and power level of opponents?

Interesting twist: Is there a twist? Does it fit?

Originality: What feels new or distinctive?

IMPORTANT NOTE: Write your feedback with an explanation. Feedback with just a "Great Game! Thumbs up!" may be removed.
