Hi, we're Vuena. We make small games and 3D asset packs, and we love the kind of game where you run a tiny shop, a little factory, a gas station, or a messy apartment and slowly get it humming. So we're hosting a small jam about exactly that.

The idea

You have 10 days to make a small simulator or management game. "Small" is the important word. One shop, one machine, one tiny job done well is plenty. If a stranger can play it for five minutes and want to see what happens next, you did it.

The theme is revealed when the jam starts, so you can't plan the whole thing in advance. Use it as loosely as you like. A weak link to the theme is fine.

The basics

  • Any engine, any language, any platform. Browser games are nice because more people can try them, but they are not required.
  • Work alone or with friends.
  • Start the actual game during the jam. Pre-made assets, plugins and your own old code libraries are fine. The game itself should be new.
  • Free to enter, free to play. There are no prizes and no money involved. This is just for the fun of it.

Rules

  1. Be kind. Rate and comment the way you would like to be rated and commented on.
  2. Original work made during the jam. Pre-made assets are allowed, as long as you are allowed to use them.
  3. If you use AI-generated art or music, say so on your game page. Nobody will be mad about a clear note. Hiding it is what breaks the rule.
  4. Nothing that targets or harasses real people, and nothing adult or hateful.

Assets (optional)

You do not need any of these. If you want something to start from, we make free packs and you are welcome to use them in your jam game:

Please check each page for its exact license. Using them is never required and never affects your rating.

How rating works

Everyone who submits a game can rate other games. You will rate on three things, each 1 to 5 stars:

  • Fun: did I want to keep playing?
  • Simulation depth: do the systems push back, surprise me, and reward planning?
  • Look: does it feel good to look at, in whatever style you chose?

Rate a few games even if yours is rough. That is how a jam stays alive.

A small ask

Post your game when you are done, even if it feels unfinished. Unfinished tiny sims are still the best part of jams. Questions, ideas, or "I'm stuck" posts are welcome in the community tab.

Have fun, and see you on the 15th.
