Welcome to TIAC’s first jam collab with Carolina Kitty Con!
We’re proud to announce our partnership with Carolina Kitty Con, by hosting a jam for the cat lovers and appreciators! The requirements for this jam are quite simple: make a game about cats, have it be kid friendly, and have fun.
Games will be selected by a panel of TIAC organizers and showcased at Carolina Kitty Con. Game devs who have their games selected will receive free tickets and space to showcase their game!
This jam page is NOT for signups, it is just to make accessing and playing participant’s games easier!

SCHEDULE
- Pre-Kickoff Social: Thursday, May 28th, 5:00 pm (In Person)
- Kickoff: Friday, May 29th, 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
- TIAC Office hours (Jam Day 1): Saturday, May 30th, 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
- TIAC Office hours (Jam Day 2): Sunday, May 31st, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
RULES
- Games must follow the theme!
- Games must NOT have NSFW, gore, violent (cartoon violence is allowed) or offensive content and must be kid appropriate! If it would not make it into a PG rated movie, please do not put it in your game. If you’re unsure what’s appropriate, please reach out to one of the organizers for clarification.
- Jam participants must be 18+ or participating with a parent! We do not have the resources to make this a purely kids jam.
- Be respectful and considerate of others! Harassment and bigotry is not tolerated!
FAQ
- Can I participate even though I’ve never made a game or joined a jam before?
- Yes! The more the merrier!
- What engine can I use?
- Whichever one works best for you!
- Can I work on a team? Can I participate by myself?
- I need help finding a team! How can I make one?
- We’ll be holding a pre-kickoff social before the jam as well as a kickoff event, which is a great way to meet new people and form teams! We also have a discord server where you could potentially find your new teammate(s).
- Can I use AI?
- You can not use any AI assets or code in your game. If you need clarification, please reach out to one of our organizers.
- Can I use third party assets / assets I’ve made previously?
- Yes you can use any assets you have legal access to. For example, you can use a song you’ve previously composed or a Unity asset pack you’ve bought.
- Can I sell my game?
- Please do so after the jam so that the organizers can get a chance to play your game first!
- Can I submit my game to multiple jams? Can I make multiple games and submit them for this jam ?
- Sure if you have the time for it. If you submit multiple games, be aware we will only select one for the showcase.
